How to register and login
If your card still says Amerigroup, your coverage is the same but the website and app have moved to Wellpoint. Go to wellpoint.com and register using the member ID number from your card, which did not change in the rebrand.
You can also download the Sydney Health app to view your digital ID card, find a doctor and message the plan. Calls to the old Amerigroup number redirect automatically to the new Wellpoint line.
Plan
Wellpoint, part of Elevance Health, offers Medicaid, Medicare and Dual Special Needs plans depending on your state and eligibility. Medicaid covers doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions and more at no premium for members.
Eligibility for the plan matches your state Medicaid eligibility, so you keep the same coverage category you had under Amerigroup.
How to activate
To activate online access, register at wellpoint.com and verify your account, then request a new Wellpoint ID card from member services if you have not received one.
New Wellpoint ID cards were mailed during the transition, but your old member ID number still works for billing and pharmacy.
Manage your benefits
Inside your Wellpoint account you can view your ID card, change your primary care provider, set communication preferences and check claims and benefits.
Member service numbers vary by state, for example Iowa members use 833-731-2140 and Maryland members use 833-707-0867. Check the number on the back of your card, or call the legacy line at 800-600-4441.
