TN Epass Application Status : The Tamil Nadu State government has developed an online portal - https://tnepass.tnega.org - to streamline issuing e-passes to the public for intra-district, inter-district and inter-State movement.Chief Secretary K Shanmugam, in a letter to all collectors and officials said, “All District Collectors/Chennai Corporation Commissioner/Industries Department are requested to switch over to the new system (TN ePass system).
Passes will be issued only for marriages (only for close relatives), funerals and medical emergencies. Those arriving from outside Tamil Nadu should call and inform 1070 about their arrival. They will have to confirm that they have not come into contact with any COVID-19 patient for the past 15 days.
Passes will also be issued to self-employed skilled service providers like plumbers, electricians, carpenters and others.
Note: Individuals can apply for marriage, medical emergency or close relative's death only.
1. Open the website https://tnepass.tnega.org/#/user/pass
2. Click Apply Epass on the Top Right Corner.
3. You have to enter the Phone Number and Generate One Time Password. It will be received for registration.
4. Enter the OTP you received and you will enter the next Page.
5. There you have to enter your name, Date of Birth, Gender, City and Postal Address.
6. You have to accept the declaration and then Submit.
7. Please note the Epass ID for your future Reference.
