The Social Health Authority Platform
The Social Health Authority Platform is the online platform through which the Government of Kenya shall enable registration of citizens, residents and refugees for access to Social Health Insurance. The Social Health Authority Platform is run by the Government of Kenya through its Agents, Employees, and Third-Party Service providers. The individuals and organizations running the Social Health Authority Platform shall hereafter be referred to as “We/ Us.” A person using the Social Health Authority Platform shall be hereafter referred to as “You”.
How to register with SHA online?
To register with the Social Health Authority (SHA) online, follow these steps:
- Visit the SHA Website: Open your web browser and go to the official SHA website at sha.go.ke.
- Click on “Register”: On the homepage, click on the “Register” button.
- Accept Terms and Conditions: Click “Proceed” to accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Fill in Your Details: Enter your personal information, including your ID type and number, and the phone number associated with your ID.
- Complete the Registration: Follow the prompts to complete the registration process.
Alternatively, you can also register via USSD by dialing *147# on your mobile phone and following the instructions.

2. General SHA Registration:
