URL (Link) of Official Sites Changed to Battlegrounds Mobile India, Check Release Date & More Details – Major leaks have surfaced related to the release of PUBG Mobile India & the news that is revolving around it is pretty confusing as well.
The party also posted a cover photo featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India which led to a lot of speculations. Shortly after, it was revealed that the update wasn’t posted by the officials.
In November, PUBG Corporation had announced that it will set up an Indian subsidiary and launch a new India specific version of the game. The company, along with its parent firm Krafton, would invest $100 million as it seeks to revive business in the country which is the largest market for PUBG in terms of number of users.
India is the largest market for the game with over 175 million downloads -- about a quarter of the global downloads -- according to SensorTower data.
PUBG Mobile Offcial Caster & Content Creator Ocean Sharma shared his thoughts about the release. “As I previously stated, there will be two major announcements in May, one of which has been made today. Also, if this was just a teaser, the trailer could arrive by the end of the month if everything goes according to plan. Because this was only a baby step, the game could be available by June“ he said.
In the meantime, the company has been busy making arrangements to maximize data security for its players and adhere to the local regulations. Game developers had also revealed that PUBG Mobile India would feature significant in-game changes that will reflect “local needs”, making the game more relatable to Indian players. The new changes include more clothing on characters, green hit effects instead of red. All this to avoid any possibility of getting banned in the future as the game has also been accused of being explicit & violent for young minds.
The Battlegrounds Mobile India privacy policy also mentions that players under the age of 18 years can’t play the game for more than three hours a day. This restriction can prove to be a huge relief to those parents who were worried that their kids would spend the whole day playing the game when it becomes available to download in the country.
You might also know that games like these have an option for in-app purchases. Interestingly, the game developer states that players under 18 years of age can’t spend more than Rs 7,000 a day for in-app purchases in Battlegrounds Mobile India. But then again, we doubt most kids in India would even spend a single penny for in-app purchases.
