How to Get Whatsapp Payment : WhatsApp Pay is an in-chat payment feature that allows users to make transactions via WhatsApp to their contact list. WhatsApp can go ahead with the rollout of ‘WhatsApp Pay’ in India in a graded manner, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced on Nov 5. It will first be allowed to do so with a maximum of 20 million registered users of UPI.
Starting from January 2021, third party apps like these will be capped to a maximum of 30 percent of all transactions in the future, NPCI said. It is bound to affect Google Pay and PhonePe as both of them have a transaction share cap of 40 percent as far as UPI transactions in India in concerned
WhatsApp Pay was initially expected to launch in India around Diwali last year. Many feared that the 400 million user base that the company had at the time would give it an unfair advantage.
WhatsApp has designed its payments feature in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an India-first, a real-time payment system that enables transactions with over 160 supported banks.
WhatsApp has partnered with five leading banks in India including ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India, and Jio Payments Bank
1. First you have to open a chat to whom you wish to make a payment.
2. Now you have to click the "Attachment" icon beside the camera icon or 'plus' icon in IOS.
3. Then select the Payment Option and choose your Bank Account.
4. Next you have to verify your bank account using the mobile number given in your bank.
5. Now this will set up the Whatsapp payment in your account.
6. But to do the transaction, the receiver also should have the Whatsapp Payment enabled.
7. Ask your recepient to enable the Whatsapp Payment and after both enabled the payment, you can use Whatsapp to send and receive money.
8. Enter the Amount you wish to send and verify using your UPI ID
9. Great. Now the Payment is Done.
While WhatsApp tested WhatsApp Pay with 1 million users in 2018, NPCI’s statement reveals that the company will expand its UPI user base in a ‘graded manner’ and will start with a total of 20 million users.
WhatsApp Pay is now rolling out through the latest update on Android and iOS.
In order to use WhatsApp Pay feature, you must fulfill the following conditions:
1. You must have the WhatsApp app installed on your phone.
2. You (the sender) and the recipient should be using the updated versions of the app that supports the feature (version 2.18.21 for iOS, and version 2.18.41 for Android as of now) and have the service enabled.
3. Your WhatsApp phone number should be the same that’s linked to your bank account for the UPI service.
Note: Since the service is still in the testing phase, some users may not find the option in their app. However, it will be released for all the users in the next few days.

WhatsApp has launched its 'WhatsApp Pay' in Brazil, two years after it began testing the payments service in India.
Under the Payments menu, click on Add New Payment Method, select your bank, and tap Verify via SMS to authenticate your bank account. Now, tap Allow to let WhatsApp verify your number and send a text to authenticate your account.
The service provider for WhatsApp Pay is Facebook, and their payment structure is secure and safe.
