National Visa Center Login : Online Visa Application System Login Case Status

The online visa application system, the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC), was updated on March 3, 2020. The status of a visa applicant’s case has changed from “Administrative Processing” to “refused” on their case status page.

The actual situations of these candidates have not changed. To better inform applicants of their case status, an administrative modification has been implemented.

National Visa

Under section 221(g) of the US Immigration and Nationality Act, visa applicants whose case status on CEAC previously listed as “Administrative Processing” were denied (INA).

Although certain 221(g) refusals can be appealed, the CEAC update appropriately reflects that the applicant’s visa application has been rejected. Any unresolved difficulties with the applicant’s visa eligibility can be resolved by the consular officer, and this status can be changed by showing that the applicant is qualified for a visa in front of a consular officer
