Xfinity Gateway Default Login: How to log in to your Xfinity gateway
To log in to your Xfinity gateway using the default credentials, follow these steps:
1. Open a web browser on a device connected to your Xfinity network.
2. In the address bar, type 10.0.0.1
and press Enter. This will take you to the Xfinity gateway’s admin page.
3. On the login page, enter the following default credentials:

- Username:
admin
- Password:
password
- Username:
4. Click the “Login” or “Sign In” button.
The default credentials are case-sensitive, so ensure you type them exactly as shown. If you’ve previously changed the username or password, you’ll need to use those instead.
If you can’t remember your changed credentials, you may need to reset your gateway to factory defaults, which will erase all custom settings. Consult your Xfinity gateway’s manual or Xfinity support for instructions on how to reset your device.

Log in to the Admin Tool
1. With a laptop, phone, or tablet that’s connected to your network, open a web browser and go to the Admin Tool at http://10.0.0.1. If you’ve already changed your Admin Tool ID and password, log in with your information. Then go to the steps to change your network name and password.
Pro tip: This username and password aren’t the same as your WiFi name and password.
If you haven’t changed the username and password, log in with:

- Username: admin
- Password: passwordIf you changed your ID or password but don’t remember it, you can do a factory reset.
2. Then, click LOGIN.
Note: Depending on which Gateway you have, your screen might not look exactly like this. However, the steps are the same, so you can still follow along.
3. Once you log in, the page asks you to set up a new ID and password for the Admin Tool. You’ll do this first and change your network name and password after.
4. Click Change Password at the top right.
5. Enter a new password. Make sure it has:

- At least eight characters.
- Both uppercase and lowercase letters.
- At least one number.
6. Type your new password again in the Re-enter New Password field. Then, click SAVE.
7. The next time you need to use the Admin Tool, log in with this new ID and password.
