www.ea.com/unable to Connect: How do I fix EA servers unable to connect?
If your game was released long ago, its EA online servers may be shut down. This can happen for a number of reasons, like developers shifting their priorities or players moving on to a newer version of the game.
Here’s a breakdown of how to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue of being unable to connect to EA servers:
1. Check the Server Status:
- EA Help: Visit the EA Help website or app and look for the server status of the specific game you’re trying to play.
- Social Media: Follow EA’s official social media accounts (like @EAHelp on Twitter) for real-time updates on server outages or maintenance.
2. Troubleshoot Your Connection:
- Restart Your Router: Turn off your router, unplug it for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check Your Internet Connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Try other online activities to see if the issue is specific to EA servers.
- Clear Cache (PC): If you’re on a PC, clear your browser cache and cookies.
- Try a Different DNS: Consider temporarily switching to a public DNS like Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
- Wired vs. Wi-Fi: If possible, try switching between a wired Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi to see if one is more stable.
3. Game-Specific Troubleshooting:
- Restart the Game: Close the game completely and relaunch it.
- Clear Game Cache (Console): If you’re on a console, clear the game’s cache in your system settings.
- Check for Updates: Make sure both your game and console/PC software are up to date.
- Reinstall the Game: If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
4. Account-Related Issues:
- Check Your Account Status: Make sure your EA account is in good standing and there are no restrictions or suspensions.
- Contact EA Support: If you’ve tried everything else, contact EA Support directly for further assistance. They may need to investigate your specific account or connection.

Restart your router
Turn your router off and then unplug it. Wait about a minute, then plug it back in, turn it back on, and try connecting again.
Try a different Domain Name System (DNS)
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to translate internet addresses from a human-readable address (like help.ea.com) to a computer-readable one (a string of numbers).
If something goes wrong with the DNS you’re using, you may run into issues trying to connect to the internet.
If your DNS is unreliable, switching to a different one might help fix your connection issues.
