How to track your Western Union money order
To track your Western Union money order, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the Western Union website (https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/web/send-money/start).
2. Click on the “Track a Transfer” link in the top navigation bar.
3. Enter your 10-digit money transfer control number (MTCN) in the “Tracking Number” field.
4. Click on the “Track Transfer” button.
5. You will be able to see the status of your money order, including the date and time it was sent, the date and time it was received, and the amount of money that was sent.
How to Track by Name
If you don’t know your MTCN, you can track your money order by entering your name, the sender’s name, the amount of money that was sent, and the date and time it was sent. You can also track your money order by calling Western Union customer service at 1-800-325-6000.
Why is my money transfer status “On Hold”?
There are a few reasons why a money transfer might be on hold. If its been less than 30-40 minutes since you completed it, it may not be fully processed yet. Please wait a few more minutes and then check the status again.
Sometimes we need to confirm the sender’s identity before we can process a money transfer. If this is the case, we’ll send the sender an online web receipt and an email asking them to call us. Once we’ve confirmed the sender’s information, the transfer will be completed and the receiver can pick up the money.
