Force Re-download of WebHelper<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol start=\"1\" data-path-to-node=\"12\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,0,0\">Close Steam.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,1,0\">Navigate to your Steam installation folder (usually <code>C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\<\/code>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,2,0\">Find the file <code>steamwebhelper.exe<\/code> (it might be inside the <code>bin<\/code> or <code>ubuntu12_32<\/code> subfolders depending on your version, or just in the main folder).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,3,0\"><b>Delete<\/b> the <code>steamwebhelper.exe<\/code> file.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"12,4,0\">Launch Steam. It will detect the missing file and automatically download a fresh, uncorrupted copy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">5. Low Resource Mode (The &#8220;No Browser&#8221; Fix)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"14\">If nothing else works and you just want to play games, you can launch Steam without the browser components.
