This Star Citizen error 41013 usually indicates a “Shard Lock”<\/b> or “Infinite Loading”<\/b> issue. Essentially, your character is stuck trying to connect to a specific game server (shard) that is either down, full, or unresponsive, and the game isn’t smart enough to route you to a new one automatically.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

Here are the known fixes for Error 41013, ordered from easiest to most drastic.<\/p>\n

\n

Method 1: The Arena Commander Workaround (Most Successful)<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

This method forces the game to update your character’s state by loading it into a different module first.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    Open Star Citizen and select <\/span>Arena Commander<\/span><\/b> (instead of the Persistent Universe).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Select Free Fly<\/b> mode and launch it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Pick any ship and load into the map.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Fly around for about 1\u20132 minutes to ensure your session is registered.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Crash your ship or land, then Exit to Menu<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Method 2: Force a Region Change<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

    If your character is locked to a “Best” server that is broken, manually selecting a different region can force the game to place you on a new shard.<\/p>\n

        Method 4: Character Repair (Last Resort)<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

        If the above fail, your character state might be corrupted on the backend. You will need to use the repair tool on the website.<\/p>\n

          Close the game and the RSI Launcher completely.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        2. \n

          Go to the RSI Website<\/a> and log in.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        3. \n

          Go to Account<\/b> > Settings<\/b> > Character Repair<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        4. \n

          Initiate the repair request.<\/p>\n
