I\u2019m detailing the one that I followed and I find this the most convenient since it does not require you to physically visit the bank branch.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"q-text qu-display--block\">Follow the below steps on how to activate Axis bank debit card for international use.<\/h3>\n<p>1. Log in to your Axis bank net banking account.<\/p>\n<p>2. Hover over to the Accounts tab and then click on \u201cMy debit cards\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"q-image qu-display--block aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/qph.cf2.quoracdn.net\/main-qimg-b738563ed45051b958e8db9c89354f7c-pjlq\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"q-box qu-mx--n_medium\"><\/div>\n<p>3. Next, select the debit card you wish to activate international use for and look for the International usage status there.<\/p>\n<p>3. If you find the international status to be Non-Active for the particular selected card, click on the \u201cMore Services\u201d drop-down menu and select \u201cChange usage Preference\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>4. In the next window, you\u2019ll be asked to proceed with the change in the usage preference you\u2019ve selected.<\/p>\n<p>5. Confirm your details and your axis bank debit card activation process for international usage is now complete.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block\">You might expect this change of preference to reflect within 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block\">Alternatively, if you do not have access to Axis bank net banking you can always visit the nearest bank branch and ask the bank representative to activate international usage on the debit card.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block\">Also, you can call up the toll-free customer care and ask for support on this.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Another Method<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">There are 4 ways to do it.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>1. ATM &#8211;<\/strong> <\/em>Go to Axis ATM nearest you and you can change your usage preference there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">Caution &#8211; Some customers who were unable to pull it right, have complained of their card being blocked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\"><em><strong>2. AXIS Bank Branch &#8211;<\/strong><\/em> Go to any nearest branch of Axis Bank(preferably the branch where you opened your account). Ask any branch executive do it for you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\">3.<em><strong> Toll Free number :<\/strong> <\/em>There must be a Toll Free number printed at the back of your debit card. Call at the number and ask the Customer Care Executive do it for you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"q-text qu-display--block qu-wordBreak--break-word qu-textAlign--start\"><em><strong>4. Through Net Banking.<\/strong><\/em> Log in to your Axis Bank net banking account and in settings(Account\u2192Debit Card\u2192 More Services), change the usage preference as per your requirement. If in case you don\u2019t use net banking, it is highly recommended to use it because it helps you in much more ways.
