KDP provides you with free and simple tools to self-publish your book in more than 10 countries in over 45 languages.<\/p>\n

To sign-in to your KDP account<\/span><\/h2>\n

  2. Under\u00a0Sign in with your Amazon account<\/b>, click\u00a0Sign in<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter your email address and password, then click\u00a0Sign in<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  4. Once you\u2019ve successfully logged into your account you\u2019ll be directed to your\u00a0KDP Bookshelf<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Once you’ve created your account, you’ll need to enter author, payment, and tax information. Follow the instructions below to complete your account set up.<\/p>\n

      To set up your account profile:<\/span><\/h2>\n

      1. Select a\u00a0Business type<\/b>\u00a0(individual or corporation).<\/li>\n
      2. Add your first and last name or the name of your publishing company. Don\u2019t enter your pen name here.<\/li>\n
      3. Enter the mailing address you want us to use for tax reporting purposes and royalty payments. Make sure the address provided is valid. In the pop-up window, you may see an option to select the address you provided or our suggested address.<\/li>\n
      4. Click\u00a0Save<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note:<\/b>\u00a0The name provided in the\u00a0Contact Information<\/b> should be the legal name of the author. Kindle will issue your payments and tax forms under the same name. If you want to use a pen name, enter it when you\u2019re setting up your book details, see Authors & Contributors<\/a>\u00a0for details about how to manage your pen name.<\/p>\n

        Banking Information<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

        KDP provides different payment methods such as direct deposits, wire transfer or check. Alternative payment methods such as Amazon Payments or PayPal, are not available at this time.<\/p>\n

        To add a bank account:<\/p>\n

        1. Go to your KDP account.<\/li>\n
        2. Complete two-step verification.<\/li>\n
        3. Under\u00a0Banking Information<\/b>, click\u00a0Add a bank account<\/b>.<\/li>\n
        4. Enter your bank account information according to your country\/region requirements. Check\u00a0Add my bank account<\/a><\/li>\n
        5. Click\u00a0Add<\/b>\u00a0to save information. You will be notified with a green check that you\u2019ve added your bank successfully.<\/li>\n
        6. Click\u00a0Save<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Don’t see your bank account\u2019s location?<\/i> We likely don’t support direct deposit or wire transfer to your accounts in your bank\u2019s location.<\/p>\n

          Note:<\/b>\u00a0The account holder\u2019s name under\u00a0Tell us about your bank<\/b>, should match the account holder’s name associated with the bank account. If the name doesn\u2019t match your bank records exactly, we may not be able to deposit your payments.<\/p>\n

          Tax Information<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

          Amazon requires all publishers, including nonprofit or tax-exempt organizations, to provide valid taxpayer identification in order to comply with U.S. tax reporting regulations. Tax withholding and specific requirements vary based on whether you are a U.S. citizen or non-U.S. citizen.<\/p>\n

          To complete your tax information:<\/p>\n

          2. Select\u00a0Tax Information<\/b>.<\/li>\n
