Eid Namaz Steps : How To Perform Eid Ul-Fitr Prayer at Home<\/span><\/h1>\n

Eid prayer must be performed after the sun has risen. As a result, you cannot pray the Eid prayer immediately after Fajr. Also, Eid prayer must be performed before zawaal. Zawaal refers to the time in which the sun has reached zenith, its highest point in the sky.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

1. When you stand up to pray, first do takbeerat al-ihram (Allahu akbar) to open the salah<\/p>\n

2. Say the takbeer 3 times before beginning to recite from the Qur\u2019an.<\/p>\n

3. Recite Surah Al-Fatiha followed by another surah.(Sunnah was Surah Al-Alaa and Surah Ghashiya or Surah Qaf and Surah Qamar for first and second rakas, respectively. But it is okay to recite other surahs.)<\/p>\n

4. Perform rukuu and two sajdas as normal. This concludes the first rakah.<\/p>\n

5. After you come up from sujood from the first rakah, you recite Surah Al-Fatiha plus another surah.<\/p>\n

6. After the surah, say the takbeer 3 times, then 1 additional takbeer to go to rukuu.<\/p>\n

7. After rukuu, you continue with two sajdas and the final sitting as normal to conclude the prayer.<\/p>\n

\"Eid<\/p>\n

How To Perform Eid Ul-Fitr Prayer at Home<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the first rak\u2019ah he should say Takbirat al-ihram (say \u201cAllahu akbar\u201d to start the prayer), after which he should say six or seven more takbirs, because of the hadith of \u2018Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), \u201cThe takbir of al-Fitr and al-Adha is seven takbirs in the first rak\u2019ah and five takbirs in the second, apart from the takbir of ruku\u2019.\u201d (Narrated by Abu Dawud and classed as sahih by al-Albani in Irwa\u2019 al-Ghalil, 639)<\/p>\n

Then he should recite al-Fatihah, and recite Surat Qaf in the first rak\u2019ah.<\/p>\n

In the second rak\u2019ah, he should stand up saying takbir, and when he has stood up completely he should say takbir five times, and recite Surat al-Fatihah then Surat al-Qamar.<\/p>\n

What to recite in \u2018Eid\u00a0 prayer<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite Surat Qaf and Surat al-Qamar during the two \u2018Eids\u00a0. Or if he wishes he can recite Surat al-A\u2019la in the first rak\u2019ah and Surat al-Ghashiyah in the second, because it was narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite al-A\u2019la and al-Ghashiyah in the \u2018Eid prayer\u00a0.<\/p>\n
