To Check Clipper Card Balance Without Account, Call the Clipper Customer Service Center at 877-878-8883\u00a0and use the automated phone service to hear your balance and your last 10 transactions.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

You can register your card for free. If you ever lose your card, we\u2019ll send you a new one with your balance restored, for a small fee. You can also get your history and manage your account online or in the Clipper app \u2014 anytime!<\/p>\n

If you buy your card in person, it\u2019s easy to register it online, and your card and balance are protected. If you buy an adult card online or in the Clipper app \u2014 or if you have a Youth, Senior or RTC Clipper card \u2014 it\u2019s automatically registered.<\/p>\n

Get Clipper on your phone.<\/span><\/h2>\n

You can add a new or existing Clipper card directly to your phone, link it to a payment method, and use your mobile device to pay your fares. We\u2019ll give you step-by-step instructions on how to set it up.<\/p>\n

Tip: Download the Clipper app for even more features. Manage your accounts, add value to your card, and plan your trips. The Clipper app works with all your Clipper cards\u2014plastic or on your phone.<\/p>\n

How can I check my card balance<\/span><\/h2>\n

Call the Clipper Customer Service Center at 877-878-8883 and use the automated phone service to hear your balance and your last 10 transactions. You can also log in to your regular Clipper account to see your balance and download a transaction history.<\/p>\n

Unlike a credit or debit card, the Clipper card does not expire; however, you will need to renew your eligibility for Clipper START once every two years to continue receiving the discount.<\/p>\n

How much is the discount?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The following discounts will be available on single-ride fares and transfers when using the Clipper START card: 50% on Muni, Caltrain, Golden Gate Transit and Ferry, Marin Transit, San Francisco Bay Ferry and SMART and 20% on BART, Petaluma Transit, Santa Rosa CityBus and Sonoma County Transit. Note the Golden Gate Transit and Ferry discount will not be available on \u201cEarly Bird\u201d East Bay fares, or Oracle Park and Chase Center special event ferry service.<\/p>\n

How do I apply for Clipper START?<\/span><\/h2>\n
You can apply for Clipper START via the online application\u00a0www.clipperstartcard.com\/application<\/a>. The application walks you through the process and gives you the option to save and return to your application at a later time. You can apply from a desktop computer or your internet-ready phone.<\/div>\n

I don\u2019t want to apply using a computer or phone. Is there a paper application?<\/h3>\n
You can also apply using the paper application in the Clipper START brochure. Many community-based organizations and social service agencies will have the brochures on hand. You can also pick one up at your local transit agency customer service center or at one of the following locations:<\/span>
