Smithsonian Channel is offered through participating TV providers. To find out if you get Smithsonian Channel through your TV provider, visit\u00a0www.smithsonianchannel.com<\/a>. Select any locked episode and choose “Sign in with your TV provider”. On the next menu, choose your TV provider logo or select “View all TV Providers” to search for your provider by name. If found, sign in with your provider credentials.<\/p>\n

Activating Smithsonian Channel from your Roku device<\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. Press the\u00a0Home<\/strong>\u00a0button\u00a0\"home\" on your Roku remote<\/li>\n
  2. Scroll up or down and select\u00a0Streaming Channels<\/strong> to open the Channel Store. At the top of the Channel Store is a list of featured, new and popular categories to explore. You can enter a keyword in\u00a0Search Channels<\/strong> to find choices based on the title of a channel. Below that are a variety of genres to browse<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    • Tip<\/strong>: When browsing lists or channel grids, press the\u00a0Reverse scan<\/strong>\u00a0button\u00a0\"reverse\u00a0or\u00a0Forward scan<\/strong>\u00a0button\u00a0\"forward\u00a0on your Roku remote to jump up or down one page at a time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      1. When you want to learn more about a channel, press the\u00a0OK<\/strong>\u00a0button\u00a0\"OK\"\u00a0on your remote to open the details. In addition to a synopsis and rating, you can preview screenshots of the channel.<\/li>\n
      2. If the channel is \u201cfree\u201d then you can select Smithsonian Channel\u00a0<\/strong>to install the channel on your Roku device.<\/li>\n
      3. If the channel is \u201cpaid\u201d, then you can select\u00a0Buy $X.XX<\/strong> in order to purchase and install the channel<\/li>\n
      4. If you have a Roku account PIN, then you will be required to enter it<\/li>\n
      5. If your payment information is out-of-date, it will need to be updated in your Roku account<\/li>\n
      6. Go to sc.tv\/activate by browsing to it on your PC, tablet, or phone.<\/li>\n
      7. After entering the activation code, go to the activation screen to enter the activation code.<\/li>\n
      8. Now, make your choice in the drop-down menu for your cable TV provider. And lastly, press \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/li>\n
      9. \u00a0Following the instructions displayed on your screen, finish the activation process.<\/li>\n
