In 2019, Gov Ron DeSantis tapped Mary Mayhew to lead AHCA. Prior to her appointment in Florida, Mayhew worked for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), where she oversaw Medicaid at the federal level.<\/p>\n<p>The principal health care agency in Florida is the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). There are 21.9 million people living in Florida (as of 2020), and AHCA is in charge of a lot of the state&#8217;s health care systems and trying to figure out how to make them better.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">STEPS TO REGISTER IN CLEARINGHOUSE<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>\u2022 Go to https:\/\/apps.ahca.myflorida.com\/SingleSignOnPortal<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select New User Registration<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 After reading the authorization statement check the confirmation box and select continue.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Complete information for Account Registration<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select Register<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Once your user account is successfully created, select \u201cReturn to Login\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Enter the User ID and Password created in the previous steps<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select \u201cLog In\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 From the drop down list select \u201cDepartment of Children and Families\u201d under Background Screening Clearinghouse.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select \u201cRequest Program Access\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Under Role Select Provider from drop down list<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Click on Add Provider<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select the \u201cProvider Type\u201d type in Family Child Care Home<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Start typing the \u201cProvider Name\u201d as it appears on your license and select it from the list when it appears. **Try just typing the first 3 letters of your first or last name**<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Select \u201cAdd Provider\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Under Requested Provider review the information to ensure you have selected the correct provider and location.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 If correct, select \u201cSubmit Request and Generate User Agreement\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The User Registration Agreement will appear (this agreement will have your OCA number on it)<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To open a printable copy of the agreement, select the link in the upper right corner<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Print and sign the user registration agreement<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Once you have printed the user registration agreement, select \u201cReturn to DCF Tasks Page\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 You must then sign the agreement in 2 places, then email the agreement with a colored copy
