    How do I get eSIM?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    If you are new to Mint, and have an unlocked, eligible phone you can choose eSIM at time of purchase and activate it instantly.\u00a0If you\u2019re an existing Mint customer and your phone is eligible for a Mint Mobile eSIM, just call our Care team at 800-683-7392, and we\u2019ll help you swap out your SIMs.<\/p>\n

    Verify eSIM Profile Installation<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Ensure your eSIM profile has been correctly installed on your phone.<\/p>\n

    For iPhone:<\/h2>\n

    1. Go to Settings<\/li>\n
    2. Select Cellular<\/li>\n
    3. Look at Carrier and verify if your eSIM profile is listed and\u00a0marked as Primary<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0For Android:<\/h2>\n

      Option 1<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. Go to Settings<\/li>\n
      2. Select Network & Internet (if you don\u2019t see this, try the steps for Option 2 below)<\/li>\n
      3. Then select Mobile Network<\/li>\n
      4. Look at Carrier and verify if your eSIM profile is listed and\u00a0marked as Primary<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Option 2<\/h3>\n
          \n
        1. Go to Settings<\/li>\n
        2. Select Connections<\/li>\n
        3. Then select SIM Manager<\/li>\n
        4. Scroll down to Primary SIM and make sure your eSIM profile is selected<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          These steps may vary depending on your Android make & model, so we recommend referring to your user guide to confirm. \"Mint<\/p>\n

          Stuck in \u201cActivating\u201d on iPhone<\/span><\/h2>\n

          If your iPhone hasn\u2019t budged from \u201cActivating\u201d in a while, try this:<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Go into your settings menu<\/li>\n
          2. Select Cellular<\/li>\n
          3. Scroll down and click on the phone number you\u2019re activating<\/li>\n
          4. Make sure \u201cTurn On This Line\u201d is toggled on<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Can I switch my physical SIM card for eSIM?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

            Yes, as long as your phone is compatible with eSIM and is unlocked. Right now eSIM is available on select Apple and Google phones.<\/p>\n

            To get a replacement Mint eSIM, you can make a request via the Mint Mobile App or call our Care team at 800-683-7392.<\/p>\n

            Be aware that we give you the first five eSIMs free of charge within a twelve month period. After the first five, eSIMs are $3 each (within that twelve month period). If you ever want to switch back to a physical SIM at any time, no problem. Just order a replacement SIM through Account Management. Once the physical SIM is activated, the previously used eSIM will no longer work.<\/p>\n

            To set Mint as the default calling or SMS line on Android:<\/span><\/h2>\n
              \n
            1. Go to Settings and tap on Network & Internet, Wireless Networks or Connections to set the correct network preferences<\/li>\n
            2. Open SIM Cards, Dual SIM Settings, SIM Manager or SIMs<\/li>\n
            3. At the top of this screen, you can see the two SIMs inside your smartphone and their status. The rest of the screen displays other Dual SIM settings, which can be grouped in sections like Preferred SIM for and General Settings on certain Android devices<\/li>\n
            4. Select Calls, Default Calling Line, SMS or Default SMS line<\/li>\n
            5. A menu should pop up, and you can decide which SIM card you want to use as the default line when you make a call<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Note: If you don\u2019t choose a default card for this option, Android prompts you to choose the SIM every time you initiate a phone call.<\/p>\n

              To set Mint as the default data line on Android:<\/span><\/h2>\n
                \n
              1. Go to Settings and tap on Network & Internet or Wireless Networks<\/li>\n
              2. Open Dual SIM Settings and decide on your preferred SIM for connecting to the internet<\/li>\n
              3. Since you can only have one active data connection, you have to set a preferred SIM for cellular data or a default mobile data SIM card<\/li>\n
              4. Depending on your phone, press on the option to change the default SIM to Mint Mobile\u2019s eSIM or physical SIM. On the next screen, tap on a SIM to select it or confirm your choice by tapping Switch<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Note: If your data isn\u2019t active (since only one data network can be active in a particular moment) a toggle that says \u201cswitch data automatically\u201d will show up.
