On a browser, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/android\/find\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">android.com\/find<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Sign in to your Google Account.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If you have more than one device:<\/strong>\u00a0At the top of the sidebar, select the lost device.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If your lost device has more than one user profile:<\/strong>\u00a0Sign in with a Google Account that&#8217;s on the main or personal profile.\n<ul>\n<li>You can\u2019t use Find My Device for work profiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. The lost device gets a notification.<\/p>\n<p>4. On the map, you&#8217;ll get info about where the device is.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>The location is approximate and may not be accurate.<\/li>\n<li>If your device can&#8217;t be found, you may find its last known location, if available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. If you get a prompt, tap <strong>Enable lock &amp; erase<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>6. Select what you want to do:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Play sound:\u00a0<\/strong>Rings your device at full volume for 5 minutes, even if it&#8217;s set to silent or vibrate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secure device:\u00a0<\/strong>Locks your device with your PIN or password. If you don&#8217;t have a lock, you can set one. To help someone return your device to you, you can add a message or device number to the lock screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Erase device:<\/strong>\u00a0Permanently deletes all data on your device, but may not delete SD cards. After you erase, Find My Device won&#8217;t work on the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Use Find My Device app<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>On another Android phone or tablet, open the<span id=\"323824S\"><\/span>\u00a0Find My Device app<span id=\"323824E\"><\/span> .\n<ul>\n<li>If the other device doesn&#8217;t yet have the app,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.adm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">get it on Google Play.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sign in.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>If your own device is lost:<\/strong>\u00a0Tap\u00a0<strong>Continue as [your name]<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If you&#8217;re helping a friend:<\/strong>\u00a0Tap\u00a0<strong>Sign in as guest\u00a0<\/strong>and let your friend sign in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>From the listed devices, select the device you want to locate.\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019ll find the same options listed in the\u00a0above steps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You may be prompted to provide the lock screen PIN for the Android device you want to locate. This applies to Android 9 or higher. If the device you want to find doesn\u2019t use a PIN, or runs Android 8 or lower, you may be prompted for your Google password.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the same steps on\u00a0find, lock, or erase a device remotely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a class=\"zippy index3 goog-zippy-expanded\" style=\"color: #800000;\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" data-sc-zippy-id=\"find-your-android-devices-imei-number\" aria-expanded=\"true\" data-stats-ve=\"2\" data-stats-imp=\"\" data-stats-idx=\"3,3\" data-stats-ignore=\"\">Find your Android device&#8217;s IMEI number<\/a><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To disable the device, your mobile service provider can utilize your device&#8217;s IMEI number. You can find your device&#8217;s IMEI number in your phone&#8217;s settings or with Find My Device.<\/p>\n<h3>To locate your device&#8217;s IMEI with the Find My Device app:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Find My Device App<\/li>\n<li>Select the device you want to locate<\/li>\n<li>Tap the gear icon<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>To locate your device&#8217;s IMEI on a web browser:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/android.com\/find\">android.com\/find<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Next to the device, tap the \u00a0icon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How Find My Device handles your data<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To help you find a lost Android device, Google collects certain info. Some of this functionality uses Google Play services. For example, Find My Device collects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximate and precise locations or other identifiers for service functionality purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Personal identifiers for service functionality, fraud prevention, security, and compliance purposes. We use these identifiers to associate your Android devices to your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Store recent location is encrypted at rest using your Google Account password for security. Other data that Find My Device collects is encrypted in transit.
