How do I check my Georgia Cash Assistance Balance?<\/span><\/h1>\n

To check your Georgia Cash Assistance Balance, you may visit the Cash Assistance Program website or call 1-833-907-0683. When using your card in person, tell the cashier in advance how much to deduct from your prepaid card and how much you will pay using an alternate payment method.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This process, known as \u201csplit tender,\u201d may not be supported by all merchants. When using your card online, your balance must cover the entire purchase amount (including taxes + shipping). Some transactions with service-oriented merchants may require a hold of up to 20% above the purchase amount. See your cardholder agreement for more information.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible to receive a Cash Assistance program prepaid card?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

You must have been enrolled at cashassistance.gateway.ga.gov and actively receiving Medicaid, Peach Care for Kids\u00ae, SNAP, and\/or TANF benefits on July 31, 2022, to be eligible.<\/p>\n

Check your eligibility at gateway.ga.gov by visiting the “Check My Benefits – Case Selection” tab. Your eligibility, and that of anybody living in your household, will be clearly indicated.<\/p>\n

When will I receive the prepaid card?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>If you have opted to receive email only or email and U.S. mail communications in Gateway, you will receive your virtual prepaid card by email\u00a0no later than October 11. The email will come from\u00a0donotreply@gateway.ga.gov<\/a><\/p>\n

If you have opted to receive U.S. mail only communications, you will receive a physical prepaid card in mid-October<\/p>\n
