  1. Download the Xfinity app. Create your Xfinity ID and password.<\/li>\n
  2. Identify your device.<\/li>\n
  3. Place your gateway or modem.<\/li>\n
  4. Connect your gateway.<\/li>\n

  6. Wait for your gateway or modem to be ready.<\/li>\n

    1. Download the Xfinity app.\n

              • Connect your gateway.\n

                • Screw one end of the coaxial cable into the\u00a0Cable In\/RF In<\/strong>\u00a0port on your gateway or modem and the other end into the cable wall outlet.\n

                  • Make sure this connection is finger tight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • Plug the power cord into the back of your gateway and then into an electrical outlet.<\/li>\n
                  • If you subscribe to Xfinity Voice service, connect your telephone to the\u00a0Tel 1<\/strong>\u00a0connection on your gateway or modem using a telephone cord.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • Name your WiFi network and\u00a0create a password.<\/li>\n
                  • Wait for your gateway or modem to be ready.\n

                    • Your gateway or modem may take up to 10 minutes to be ready to activate.<\/li>\n

                    • Make sure the lights appear as described below before moving on to the next step:\n

                      • If you have an Xfinity Gateway with multiple lights on the front, the\u00a0Power<\/strong>,\u00a0US\/DS<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Online<\/strong>\u00a0lights should remain solid for at least one minute, and the\u00a02.4 GHz<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a05 GHz<\/strong>\u00a0lights should start blinking.<\/li>\n
                      • If you have an Xfinity Gateway with only one light on the top, it should remain solid white for at least a minute.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                      • Connect all your devices.\n

                        • Once your network is set up, your Xfinity Internet and Voice services are ready to go.<\/li>\n
                        • You can connect all wireless devices, like laptops and smartphones, to your WiFi network.<\/li>\n
                        • If you replaced your Xfinity Gateway and kept the same settings during activation, your previously connected devices should automatically reconnect.\n

                            Important Things To Know Before You Begin<\/span><\/h2>\n

                            1. We\u2019ll need information from your previous carrier to transfer your number. Make sure you have a copy of your bill and your account PIN.
