recommended steps below to resolve the issue.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Check if the status LED, in front of your TV is ON.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong> \u00a0<\/strong>When the TV is off or in stand-by mode the LED at the base of your TV should be solid white. \u00a0 When the TV is on it should be either off or blinking. \u00a0 To confirm, point the TCL remote towards the TV and press any button. \u00a0You should see the LED blink every time your press the remote. \u00a0If you see the LED blink while pressing a button on the remote, proceed with Step #2. \u00a0 If not it is possible your TV is not powered on or not responding to your remote.<\/p>\n<p>For remote troubleshooting click\u00a0<a title=\"\" selections. \u00a0To ensure IR remotes are operating reliably, they must be pointed directly at the front of your TCL Roku TV. \u00a0To resolve issues with your standard IR remote, try the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Verify that there is a clear path between your TV and remote. \u00a0<\/strong>Make sure that there are no obstructions between your TCL remote and the remote sensor located smartphone or digital camera towards the tip of the TCL remote.<\/li>\n<li>Look into the camera as if you are taking a picture while pressing any button on the remote<\/li>\n<li>You should see a darker room and quite hard to see in a brightly lit room. \u00a0<em>Note: Both photos show the same remote being tested.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If no light is seen from the IR emitter, then it is likely that the remote is defective. \u00a0If the remote is emitting an IR signal, but the TV still does not turn on or respond, confirm that nothing is blocking the TV&#8217;s IR receiver (located underneath the TCL logo). \u00a0If there\u2019s clear line of sight, and the TV still does not turn on, then the issue could lie with the IR receiver on the TV.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>Enhanced remotes<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>enhanced remotes<\/em>\u00a0connect over your wireless network and do not need to be pointed directly at your TCL Roku TV. \u00a0This easy-to-use remote needs to be paired during initial TV setup. \u00a0To resolve any issues with your enhanced remote, refer to the recommended steps below:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Try replacing the batteries<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries from the remote.<\/li>\n<li>Install new fresh batteries of same type in your TCL ROKU TV remote control,
