The Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa has the most passing yards in the NFL with 2416 followed by Kirk Cousins and Patrick Mahomes with 2331 and 2257 respectively.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Tom Brady\u00a0holds the record for most passing touchdowns with 649, followed by\u00a0Drew Brees\u00a0with 571 and\u00a0Peyton Manning\u00a0with 539.\u00a0Aaron Rodgers\u00a0leads all active players with 475 career passing touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Brady also is the record holder for the most career\u00a0playoff\u00a0passing touchdowns with 88. He is followed by\u00a0Joe Montana\u00a0and Rodgers, with both tied at 45. Rodgers leads all active players in career playoff passing touchdowns. The longest career passing touchdown record holder was\u00a0Fran Tarkenton, who held the record from 1975 to 1994<\/p>\n

In American football, passing, along with running (also referred to as rushing), is one of the two main methods of advancing the ball down the field. Passes are typically attempted by the quarterback, but any offensive player can attempt a pass provided they are behind the line of scrimmage.<\/p>\n
