{"id":58473,"date":"2023-10-04T22:17:28","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T16:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.seminarsonly.com\/news\/?p=58473"},"modified":"2023-10-04T22:17:28","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T16:47:28","slug":"ftb-webpay-pay-by-bank-account-web-pay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seminarsonly.com\/news\/ftb-webpay-pay-by-bank-account-web-pay\/","title":{"rendered":"FTB Webpay : Pay by bank account (Web Pay)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><span style=\"color: #800000;\">FTB Webpay : Pay by bank account (Web Pay)<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><em><strong>Using FTB Web Pay is a safe and simple way to avoid problems and the extra work that comes when someone mails a payment to us and that payment isn\u2019t timely credited to their account.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mail delays, incorrect or missing information on a check (tax year, tax ID number), and human error are just some of the reasons a payment may not be timely credited or applied.<\/p>\n<p>An easy way to avoid this problem is to make payments using FTB\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftb.ca.gov\/pay\/bank-account\/index.asp\">Web Pay<\/a>\u00a0portal. Web Pay is available for a variety of personal and business entity payments. Web Pay is free when you use a bank account and you don\u2019t need to register to use it.\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ftb.ca.gov\/about-ftb\/newsroom\/tax-news\/february-2020\/avoid-a-problem-by-using-web-pay.html#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0But, if you do register for MyFTB and then access Web Pay while logged in to MyFTB, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>View<\/strong>\u00a0the status of payments made in Web Pay.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cancel<\/strong>\u00a0pending payments online.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Save<\/strong>\u00a0your bank account information for future payments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Save<\/strong>\u00a0your spouse\/RDP information, if applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With Web Pay you can schedule payments now for a future date and you can avoid a potential penalty for paying by check if you are subject to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftb.ca.gov\/pay\/mandatory-e-pay.html\">mandatory e-pay<\/a>. Web Pay Help is available in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ftb.ca.gov\/pay\/bank-account\/index.asp\">Web Pay<\/a>\u00a0portal and you can find answers there to many of your questions about Web Pay, including the different types of personal and business payments that can be made.<\/p>\n<p>Using Web Pay is quick and easy and you receive immediate confirmation that we received your payment request.\u00a0 You can even make a payment for someone else, if you have their tax ID number.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ftn1\">\n<p>Credit card payments may also be made, but there is a 2.3% service fee if you pay by credit card.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"bm-b-0\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Pay by bank account (Web Pay)<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"card-title mt-0\">Personal<\/h3>\n<p>You can make payments for:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list\">\n<li>Bill or other balance due<\/li>\n<li>Current year or amended tax return<\/li>\n<li>Estimated tax<\/li>\n<li>Extension<\/li>\n<li>Group nonresident\/composite return<\/li>\n<li>Pending audit tax deposit<\/li>\n<li>Proposed assessment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"card-title mt-0\">Business<\/h3>\n<p>You can make various payments such as, but not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Annual tax or fee<\/li>\n<li>Bill or other balance due<\/li>\n<li>Current year or amended tax return<\/li>\n<li>Estimated tax<\/li>\n<li>Extension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Partnerships<\/h3>\n<p>If your entity&#8217;s SOS number does not work or your entity does not have an SOS number, then your FTB Issued ID number should be used.<\/p>\n<h3>Sole Proprietorships<\/h3>\n<p>Sole Proprietorships must use Web Pay personal.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"bm-b-0\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">FTB Mobile App<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ftb.ca.gov\/images\/help\/mobile-app.png\" alt=\"Mobile App Icon\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The FTB Mobile App is an official app of the Franchise Tax Board.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Refund Status<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Check the refund status of your California state income tax return.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Make a Payment<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Use Web Pay to pay your taxes online from your bank account. No registration required.
