Child Tax Credit for Pregnant Moms 2023<\/span><\/h1>\n

U.S.\u00a0Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) joined his Senate colleagues in introducing the\u00a0Child Tax Credit for Pregnant Moms Act, legislation which will allow\u00a0expectant\u00a0moms to claim the Child Tax Credit for their unborn children. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The\u00a0Child Tax Credit for Pregnant Moms Act<\/em>\u00a0builds on the Child Tax Credit provisions included in the\u00a0Tax Cuts and Jobs Act<\/em>\u00a0by supporting families and pregnant mothers\u00a0in light of\u00a0the many costs that come with carrying a baby, as well as planning for the care of a newborn baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cExpectant moms deserve nothing less than our utmost support as they navigate this joyful yet challenging time,\u201d\u00a0said Senator Scott.<\/strong>\u201cThat\u2019s why, I\u2019ll always fight to\u00a0make life easier for moms, empowering them with the resources they need\u00a0to thrive, especially in Biden\u2019s failing economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Senator Scott was joined by\u00a0Senators Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).<\/p>\n

\"Can<\/div>\n

Child Tax Credit for Pregnant Moms Act of 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This bill allows a child tax credit for an unborn child who is born alive. It also allows the credit upon certification that a mother’s pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage (the involuntary death of an unborn child who was carried in the womb for less than 20 weeks) or that the child was stillborn (the involuntary death of an unborn child who was carried in the womb for 20 weeks or more).<\/p>\n

There are a lot of working moms out there trying to make ends meet for their families. Mothers in my remote district have additional challenges, such as access to health care and making it to prenatal and postnatal appointments, on top of the financial constraints they already face.<\/p>\n

By allowing expectant moms to claim the Child Tax Credit for their unborn children, the Child Tax Credit for Pregnant Moms Act helps to alleviate financial burdens on families. It acknowledges the financial costs associated with having a child while still valuing human life.<\/p>\n

I am a mother of two grown children, and I was attracted to this bill because it serves as a kind of triage for our current financial calamity and because it acknowledges that parenting is multifaceted.<\/p>\n

Without a clear end to the financial recession in sight, families today are being forced to tighten their belts and make do.<\/p>\n

However, this pro-life legislation can have an effect on people and their families by providing a modest boost to economic independence and, perhaps, laying the groundwork for future generations to build upon.<\/p>\n

For some households, new legislation will make it possible to baby-proof their homes without significantly altering their regular expenditures. This legislation makes it possible for young people to start kids despite financial constraints such as student loans. Many people’s lives will be improved because of this bill.<\/p>\n

The Child Tax Credit for Expectant Mothers Act establishes tangible support systems for families, particularly those who may wish to expand their families by giving birth but struggle with existing financial constraints.<\/p>\n

Like I’ve said before, if it’s good for Iowa, it’s good for the country, and I think this bill will help families all throughout the country, not just those in rural areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
