How Do You Check the Balance on GA Cash Assistance Card<\/span><\/h1>\n

To check the balance of my GA Cash Assistance plastic card, you may visit the Cash Assistance Program website https:\/\/gateway.ga.gov or call 1-833-907-0683.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

There are several ways to check the balance on your GA Cash Assistance Card:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Online:<\/strong> Visit the Cash Assistance Program website where you redeemed your virtual card. You should be able to log in and view your balance information there.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Mobile App:<\/strong> If your state has a mobile app for EBT benefits, download it and check your balance through the app.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Customer Service Helpline:<\/strong> Call the toll-free customer service number located on the back of your card. They can provide you with your balance information.<\/p>\n

Remember that you may need to use your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete transactions in stores. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, feel free to reach out for assistance!<\/p>\n

Governor Brian P. Kemp recently announced that he has dedicated more than $1 billion to the Department of Human Services to provide cash assistance of up to $350 for active enrollees of Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids\u00ae, SNAP, and\/or TANF. Georgians who are enrolled in more than one of these programs will only receive one cash assistance payment.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible to receive a Cash Assistance program prepaid card?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You must have been enrolled and actively receiving Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids\u00ae, SNAP, and\/or TANF benefits on July 31, 2022, to be eligible. If you’re not sure if you\u2019re eligible, you can visit gateway.ga.gov and navigate to the \u201cCheck My Benefits \u2013 Case Selection\u201d page. It will display whether you and\/or any household member(s) are eligible or ineligible.<\/p>\n

When will I receive the prepaid card?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>If you have opted to receive email only or email and U.S. mail communications in Gateway, you will receive your virtual prepaid card by email\u00a0no later than October 11. The email will come from\u00a0donotreply@gateway.ga.gov<\/a>. If you have opted to receive U.S. mail only communications, you will receive a physical prepaid card in mid-October.<\/p>\n

How To Activate Georgia Cash Assistance Card :<\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. What information is needed to redeem the prepaid card?\u00a0<\/strong>You will need your client ID and date of birth to redeem your card. If you have more than one eligible person in your household, make sure you use the client ID and date of birth for the person the email was addressed to.<\/li>\n
  2. How do I find my client ID?<\/strong> Your client ID is available in your Gateway account. Once you have logged in, your client ID will be displayed under \u201cMy Benefits Summary\u201d in the one-time cash assistance table<\/li>\n
  3. What happens if I can’t access the email the prepaid card initially went to, and if I update it in Gateway will the card come to the new email?<\/strong>\u00a0Yes, please go in and make sure you have the correct email listed in Gateway in the \u201cNotifications\u201d screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
