iCloud Security Code : Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication<\/span><\/h2>\n

You can get an iCloud Security Code to sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser. Learn How?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

With two-factor authentication, you\u2019ll need a verification code to sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Whenever you\u00a0sign in with your\u00a0Apple ID<\/a>\u00a0on a new device or browser, you’ll confirm your identity with your password plus a six-digit verification code. There are a few\u00a0ways you can get a verification code. You can use the code displayed on your trusted device, get a text or phone call, or generate a code from your trusted device.<\/p>\n

If you use iOS 11.3 or later on your iPhone, you might not need to enter a verification code. In some cases, your trusted phone number can be automatically verified in the background on your iPhone. It\u2019s one less thing to do, and your account is still protected with two-factor authentication.<\/p>\n

Use the code displayed on your trusted device<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you have a trusted device running iOS\u00a09 and later, OS\u00a0X\u00a0El\u00a0Capitan and later, iPadOS 13 and later,\u00a0or watchOS 6 and later, the verification code is displayed automatically on your trusted devices.<\/p>\n

1. Sign in with your Apple ID and password on a new device or browser.<\/p>\n

2. Look for a sign in notification on any of your trusted devices.

3. Tap Allow to receive your verification code.<\/p>\n

4. Enter the verification code on your other device to complete sign in.<\/p>\n

Get a text or phone call<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you don\u2019t have a trusted device handy, you can have a verification code sent to your trusted phone number as a text message or phone call.<\/p>\n

1. Click Didn’t get a verification code on the sign in screen.<\/p>\n

2. Choose to have the code sent to your trusted phone number.<\/p>\n

3. You’ll get a text message or phone call from Apple with your verification code. This text message might include an additional domain validation line. This line includes the @ symbol, the website name, and your code (for example: @icloud.com #123456 %apple.com).

4. Enter the code on your other device to complete sign in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
