You will be able to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use your debit card everywhere\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Mastercard<\/span>\u00ae debit cards are accepted.<\/li>\n<li>Access your child support payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.<\/li>\n<li>Access your funds at any\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Bank of America<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Allpoint\u00a0<abbr title=\"Automatic Teller Machine\">ATM.<\/abbr><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"q3\" class=\"faqs-question\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How to Activate Your Debit Card<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Activation of the card is simple and secure.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You&#8217;ll receive your New York Child Support Prepaid Debit Card in the mail along with instructions on how to activate and use it. Once you receive the card, you can activate online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofamerica.com\/nycsdebitcard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reveal-id=\"modal-leaving-site\">www.bankofamerica.com\/nycsdebitcard<\/a>\u00a0or by calling (844) 323-7637 toll-free, TTY (866) 656-5913.<\/li>\n<li>For security reasons you&#8217;ll need:\n<ul>\n<li>the 16-digit number that appears on the face of the card<\/li>\n<li>the 3-digit card security number that appears on the back of the card<\/li>\n<li>the last four digits of your social security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>During the activation process, you&#8217;ll be asked to create a personal identification number (PIN). If your address has changed within the 30 days before the mailing, you may not receive your replacement card. Attempting to use your card for purchases that exceed your balance may result in the card being declined. If you want to use your card for purchases that exceed your balance, you must tell the cashier or merchant the amount you want to pay on the New York Child Support Prepaid Debit Card, and then FIRST pay the remainder through other means, such as with cash check, or debit\/credit card.<\/p>\n<p>Cardholders can check the balance on their cards and review all their account transaction activity 24 hours a day online at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bankofamerica.com\/nycsdebitcard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reveal-id=\"modal-leaving-site\">www.bankofamerica.com\/nycsdebitcard<\/a>\u00a0or by calling (844) 323-7637, TTY (866) 656-5913.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is no fee for online and telephone balance inquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Sign up for balance alerts (mobile text message and e-mail) by logging in to your account online.<\/li>\n<li>ATM balance inquiries:\n<ul>\n<li>No fee for balance inquiries made at a Bank of America in-network ATM.<\/li>\n<li>For inquiries made at ATMs other than Bank of America in-network ATMs, the owner of the ATM may charge a fee. Bank of America won&#8217;t charge a fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">How can I avoid paying fees to use the card?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Use your debit card where\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Mastercard\u00ae<\/span>\u00a0debit cards are accepted\u2014in stores, online or by phone. There is no fee for a purchase with the card. (Keep in mind the\u00a0free services\u00a0included with the card.)<\/p>\n<p>Avoid using the card to withdraw cash at an\u00a0<abbr title=\"Automatic Teller Machine\"><span translate=\"no\">ATM<\/span><\/abbr>. If you withdraw cash more than 2 times per calendar month at an\u00a0<strong>in-network<\/strong>\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">ATM<\/span>\u00a0(the\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Bank of America<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Allpoint<\/span>\u00a0name and logo should be displayed on the machine) or at any\u00a0<strong>out-of-network<\/strong>\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">ATM<\/span>, you will be charged a fee of 50 cents\u00a0<span dir=\"ltr\" translate=\"no\">($0.50)<\/span>\u00a0per transaction.\u00a0<strong>Out-of-network\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">ATMs<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0may impose an additional &#8220;convenience fee&#8221; or &#8220;surcharge fee&#8221; for certain\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">ATM<\/span>\u00a0transactions (a sign should be posted at the\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">ATM<\/span>\u00a0to indicate additional fees).<\/p>\n<p>To get cash back with a purchase at grocery stores, convenience stores or anywhere the\u00a0<span translate=\"no\">Mastercard<\/span>\u00a0brand logo is displayed, choose &#8220;<span translate=\"no\">debit<\/span>&#8221; when making your purchase and enter your\u00a0<abbr title=\"Personal Identification Number\" translate=\"no\">PIN<\/abbr>.
