The Xfinity app is available for download on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/xfinity\/id1178765645\">Apple<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.xfinity.digitalhome&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Android<\/a>\u00a0phones.<\/p>\n<p>The Xfinity app alerts you when someone attempts to use your Xfinity ID and password to sign in to your account. You can approve or deny the sign-in attempt with a yes\/no button push, facial recognition, one-touch fingerprint ID or a traditional verification code.<\/p>\n<header>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Ways To Sign In to Your Xfinity Account<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/header>\n<div>\n<p>With your Xfinity account, you can manage your payments, customize your WiFi network name and password, troubleshoot your devices and get personalized help whenever you need it.<\/p>\n<p>To sign in, use your Xfinity ID (email, mobile, username) on the Xfinity My Account app or in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/customer.xfinity.com\/#\/\">your account<\/a>. You can also say \u201cmy account\u201d into your Xfinity Voice Remote to see it on your X1 TV Box.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1ekhjil3n18\">Sign In on Your Mobile Device<\/h3>\n<p>Using the My Account app is the easiest way to manage your Xfinity services.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the Xfinity My Account app (download for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/xfinity-my-account\/id776010987\">Apple<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.comcast.cvs.android\">Android<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Open the app and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.xfinity.com\/support\/articles\/do-my-account-app\">Use the app<\/a>\u00a0to pay bills, troubleshoot services and change account settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1ekhjil3n19\">Sign In Online<\/h3>\n<p>You can sign in to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/customer.xfinity.com\/#\/\">your account<\/a>\u00a0online using any supported web browser on your PC or Mac. Once you enter your Xfinity ID and password, you&#8217;ll be securely connected to all your account information.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"mcetoc_1ekhjil3n1a\">Sign In on Your X1 TV Box<\/h3>\n<p>You can access your account information and pay your bill through your X1 TV Box.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your X1 TV Box is voice-enabled, press and hold the microphone button on your Voice Remote and say, &#8220;<em>my account<\/em>.&#8221;\n<ul>\n<li>Navigate the portal using the arrow keys on the remote control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, press\u00a0<strong>xfinity\u00a0<\/strong>on your remote control and select\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>, then\u00a0<strong>My Account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1emccm5r99\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Set Up Two-Step Verification<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>1. In your account settings, navigate to <strong>Xfinity ID<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>security<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2. From there, tap <strong>Two-step verification<\/strong> to begin the enabling process<\/p>\n<p>3. If you don\u2019t already have an email and mobile phone number associated with your account, you\u2019ll be prompted to add and verify them as back-up contact methods.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>You must have both an email and mobile phone number on the account to enable two-step verification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0You can\u2019t use an Xfinity email address.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/secure.xfinity.com\/anon.comcastonline2\/support\/help\/faqs\/HOW21321\/HOW21321_110422_02.png\" alt=\"The two-step verification screen is displayed with a button to Get started at the bottom.\" data-filename=\"HOW21321_110422_02.png\" data-image-id=\"HOW21321_110422_02\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4. Once your email and phone number are verified, hit <strong>Turn on<\/strong> (on the following page) to enable two-step verification.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>If your device has biometrics enabled, you\u2019ll be prompted to add another layer of security by using either facial recognition or a fingerprint whenever there\u2019s a sign-in to your Xfinity account.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note:\u00a0<\/strong>This is optional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5. Two-step verification is now on. Whenever a sign-in attempt for your Xfinity account is made from a new device or after a period of inactivity, you\u2019ll be notified and can confirm or deny the sign-in.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0After you enable two-step verification, you\u2019ll be able to check a box for\u00a0<strong>Don\u2019t ask again in this browser<\/strong>. If you check this box, you won\u2019t be prompted to sign in as often when you use the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gccglvkk7\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Verification Methods<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Xfinity app offers four different methods of authentication when using two-step verification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yes\/no push notifications (in-app or in the notifications bar)<\/li>\n<li>Biometric scanning (facial or fingerprint)<\/li>\n<li>Traditional text message or email codes<\/li>\n<li>A code generator in the app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you want to use yes\/no push notifications or biometrics, you must allow notifications; otherwise, you\u2019ll be required to use one-time codes sent to you by text message or email, or the code generator in the app.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gccglvkk8\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">PUSH NOTIFICATIONS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The default method for two-step verification is by push notifications.<\/p>\n<p>When someone attempts to sign in with your Xfinity account credentials, a notification will appear in any registered devices\u2019 notification bar, asking to verify the login as legitimate. If you or someone you know didn\u2019t attempt to sign in, remember to hit \u201cNo, deny\u201d and change your password immediately to keep your account safe.<\/p>\n<p>You can also verify the sign-in request within the Xfinity app if you\u2019re currently using it or clear away the sign-in request.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gh20nb092s\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">BIOMETRICS<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If your device supports biometric scanning, you can use a one-touch fingerprint ID or facial recognition as an extra layer of security. You\u2019ll be prompted to use this in addition to push notifications when setting up two-step verification.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gh20nb092t\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">TEXT MESSAGE OR EMAIL CODE<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you don\u2019t enable push notifications or biometric scanning, your device will default to verification through text message or email codes. This will generate a random six-digit code, sent to either your email or mobile phone, which you\u2019ll be prompted to enter when you sign in to your Xfinity account. These are one-time codes which expire in 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gh20nb092u\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">CODE GENERATOR<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can also use the in-app code generator to verify log-in attempts. This will generate a random six-digit code that you\u2019ll be prompted to enter when you sign in to your Xfinity account. You can find this method under Code generator on the two-step verification screen.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/secure.xfinity.com\/anon.comcastonline2\/support\/help\/faqs\/HOW21321\/HOW21321_110422_10.png\" alt=\"The code generator page is displayed.\" data-filename=\"HOW21321_110422_10.png\" data-image-id=\"HOW21321_110422_10\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1gh20nb092v\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Set Up Multiple Devices<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can have up to five registered devices that receive push notifications to approve sign in requests. To register a new device, navigate to the two-step verification page and tap\u00a0<strong>Register this device<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0All registered devices will receive push notifications to confirm sign-in requests.<\/p>\n<p>Once registered, you\u2019ll be able to manage your devices and their settings from the two-step verification screen.
