How to add an App to your VIZIO Smart TV<\/span><\/h2>\n

To access applications on your SmartCast TV, press the input button and choose the ‘SmartCast’ input. Or press the V key or Home key near the center of your remote. Currently\u00a0all available<\/i><\/b>\u00a0applications<\/i><\/b>\u00a0are displayed in the app row of SmartCast Home. No app downloading is required.<\/p>\n

If you do not see the app you’re looking for, you may still be able to watch that content using the TV\u2019s ChromeCast or Airplay features. If the app you\u2019re looking for doesn\u2019t appear in your TVs app list then it currently isn’t available on the SmartCast platform, and there is no way to download it to your TV’s home screen. While the app you\u2019re looking for may not currently be available, VIZIO does regularly release updates to the TV that add new features and applications. These updates will automatically download to your TV, once the app becomes available to VIZIO and if your TV is connected to the internet.\u00a0 The great news is that there is No Download Required for you.\u00a0 It will happen automatically.<\/p>\n

ChromeCast:<\/b><\/h3>\n

Your Television has a\u00a0 built-in Google ChromeCast feature. Chromecast gives you the ability to cast thousands of your favorite applications to your TV from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.<\/p>\n

To cast content from a Chromebook or from a Chrome Browser:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

  1. Open the Google Chrome Browser.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Click the Menu icon :<\/span>\u00a0in the upper right hand corner of the browser.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the “Cast” option in the Chrome Menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How do I cast an application?<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

    1. Open the application and press the Cast icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Press the icon and select the device you wish to cast to. If you have multiple VIZIO SmartCast products or other Chromecast devices in your home the TV will see multiple options. Select the device you wish to connect to.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Once you\u2019ve selected the SmartCast device or Chromecast device simply begin playing the content and it should begin playing on the selected device.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        AirPlay 2:<\/b><\/h3>\n

        SmartCast Televisions also have AirPlay 2 capabilities and many applications allow you to AirPlay content from your iOS device to your VIZIO SmartCast TV.<\/p>\n

        How can I add items to my VIZIO PC Start Screen?<\/span><\/h2>\n

        If you right click on your Start Screen and select All Apps on the bar that appears at the bottom, it will pull up all the applications on the PC; then right click the application you want to appear in your Start Screen and another bar will appear at the bottom. These options will allow you to pin to start or you can pin the application to the task bar in the standard desktop, as well as other options.<\/p>\n

        Can I uninstall a SmartCast App?<\/span><\/h2>\n

        VIZIO SmartCast comes with many different applications available on the home screen of your TV.<\/p>\n

        Currently, there is no way to remove an application, but\u00a0<\/span>click here<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for a video on how to reorganize your apps to move applications you aren’t currently using further back in the list.<\/p>\n
