Care Medicare Plus OTC card is a prepaid debit card that allows eligible members to purchase over-the-counter (OTC) health and wellness items. It&#8217;s a valuable benefit for L.A. Care Medicare Plus (HMO D-SNP) members, providing a quarterly allowance to help cover the costs of everyday health essentials.<\/p>\n<h2 data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:17\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>How it works:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Quarterly Allowance:<\/strong> L.A. Care provides a quarterly allowance (every 3 months) that is loaded onto the card. The current allowance is <strong>$180 per quarter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where to Use:<\/strong> You can use the card at participating retailers like Albertsons, CVS, Food-4-Less, Ralphs, Walgreens, and Walmart. You can also order items online or by phone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Approved Items:<\/strong> A wide range of OTC products are covered, including pain relievers, cold medicine, first aid supplies, vitamins, and more. You can find a catalog of eligible items online or through the mobile app.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Over-the-Counter (OTC) Items<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>At the beginning of each calendar quarter, your OTC card is loaded with the quarterly OTC amount for your plan.<\/p>\n<p>lacare.nationsbenefits.com will provide up to $150 quarterly (every 3 months) to use for approved, non-prescription OTC items. Your balance does not carry over\u2014try to spend the full amount on the items you need before the end of each quarter.<\/p>\n<p>You can use this benefit to order non-prescription OTC health and wellness items such as cough and cold medicine, vitamins, pain relievers and bandages. Your OTC allowance card, along with activation instructions and an OTC catalog will be mailed to you.<\/p>\n<p>L.A.
