If you paid for a test, check the test kit instructions to see if you should report your results to the private test provider.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A rapid lateral flow test is a coronavirus test you do yourself. It shows you the result on a handheld device that comes with the test.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Report the result:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>every time you use a rapid lateral flow test kit<\/li>\n<li>as soon as possible after you get the result<\/li>\n<li>no matter what it is &#8211; positive, negative or void<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are taking daily rapid lateral flow tests because you are a contact of someone who has COVID-19, you should report your result every day.<\/p>\n<p>You cannot report a result after more than 24 hours. If your test is out of date:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>do not report the result<\/li>\n<li>take a new test from a box that is still in date<\/li>\n<li>dispose of any tests that are out of date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"before-you-start\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Before you start<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To use this service, you need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the QR code or ID number printed on the test strip (the part of the kit that shows your result)<\/li>\n<li>a mobile phone number so we can text you to confirm we\u2019ve got your result<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"get-help-to-report-a-test-result\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Get help to report a test result<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you cannot use the online service, call 119 (free from mobiles and landlines).<\/p>\n<p>Lines are open:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday to Friday (including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/bank-holidays\">bank holidays<\/a>), 8am to 6pm<\/li>\n<li>Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 1pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>119 provides support in 200 languages.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/signvideo.co.uk\/nhs119\/\" rel=\"external\">SignVideo<\/a>\u00a0is a free online British Sign Language (<abbr title=\"British Sign Language\">BSL<\/abbr>) interpreter service for 119.<\/p>\n<p>You can use the free\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemyeyes.com\/\" rel=\"external\">Be My Eyes app<\/a>\u00a0to get help from trained\u00a0<abbr title=\"National Health Service\">NHS<\/abbr>\u00a0Test and Trace staff.
