Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing &#8216;Remove channel&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>2. Then restart your device from Settings &gt; System &gt; System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.<\/p>\n<p>3. If the issue remains unresolved, I&#8217;d recommend reaching out to ESPN directly to report the issue and request additional support.<\/p>\n<p>Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they&#8217;ll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the ESPN channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.<\/p>\n<p>Please be advised that ESPN+ in Roku requires a TV provider like AT&amp;T, Xfinity, etc. For more information about that channel&#8217;s functionality, you&#8217;ll want to contact the channel provider&#8217;s support directly to inquire further. As previously mentioned above, many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.<\/p>\n<p>There is no separate ESPN Plus channel app.\u00a0 Regular ESPN content as available on cable\/satellite\/etc. outlets and ESPN Plus content are\u00a0<em>both<\/em>\u00a0viewed through the same ESPN service (website, streaming apps).\u00a0 ESPN+ content is marked with a small ESPN+ ribbon in the upper left corner.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18606 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seminarsonly.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/espn-1.jpg\" alt=\"espn\" width=\"384\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seminarsonly.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/espn-1.jpg 720w, https:\/\/seminarsonly.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/espn-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seminarsonly.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/espn-1-678x381.jpg 678w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Regular ESPN (non-ESPN+) content &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>There may be some occasional free Regular ESPN (non-ESPN+) content, but to view most regular ESPN content you must authenticate with a paid account on a tv provider that carries ESPN.\u00a0 This is how ESPN gets paid for their regular non-ESPN+ content &#8212;\u00a0 they get part of the monthly subscription fee paid to the tv provider.\u00a0 This is a requirement set by ESPN, not Roku, and you&#8217;d find the same situation on any other platform other than Roku, including viewing on the web.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESPN Plus content<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; To view ESPN Plus content on the ESPN service requires a separate paid ESPN Plus subscription, either by itself, part of a bundle with Disney, or though Roku or some other third party.\u00a0 You must link your ESPN Plus account to your ESPN account.\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t already have a basic ESPN account you can create one WITHOUT HAVING A TV PROVIDER account, you just won&#8217;t be able to view regular non-ESPN+ content with it.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"widget-header kb-title-header ng-binding\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Linking my ESPN+ subscription<\/span><\/h2>\n<article class=\"kb-article-content ng-scope\">\n<section class=\"ng-binding ng-scope\">Your ESPN+ subscription must be linked to an ESPN account in order to stream ESPN+ content\u00a0on all your favorite devices.* This can be an existing ESPN account or a new one you set up by following the\u00a0web browser steps below.
