To log in to LastPass, you have a couple of options:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Web Login<\/strong>: Visit the\u00a0LastPass Sign In page<\/a>\u00a0and enter your email and master password. Make sure your Caps Lock is off. If you\u2019ve forgotten your password, you can recover it using your email address.<\/li>\n
  2. One-Time Passcode<\/strong>: Alternatively, you can log in using a one-time passcode. If you\u2019re having trouble with your regular login, enter the one-time passcode associated with your account from the LastPass MFA app. If needed, you can request a new activation email to verify your email address\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Remember, LastPass is an online password manager and form filler that enhances web browsing security.<\/p>\n

    LastPass encrypts information client side and has a zero-knowledge policy, so\u00a0if anyone does hack into LastPass servers, they will only see encrypted information<\/b>. The only way for anyone to access your sensitive data is to find out your master password, which can be done in many ways.<\/p>\n

    At home and work, you have more online accounts that you can possibly remember. And since 81% of breaches are caused by weak or reused passwords, it\u2019s essential that each account have a unique password. So how are you supposed to remember these strong, unique passwords?     Once you have created your LastPass account, it is strongly recommended that you set up and configure all account recovery options so that you can regain access to your LastPass vault if your master password<\/span>\u00a0is ever forgotten. These recovery options can be configured at any time during the life of your LastPass account.<\/p>\n

    Recovery Option #1: Log in to LastPass from your desktop<\/span><\/h2>\n

    When you log in to LastPass from your desktop, you create a locally-stored Recovery One Time Password on each web browser where you log in, which can be used in the account recovery process if you ever forget your\u00a0master password<\/span>.<\/p>\n

    A Recovery One Time Password is something that is created for you automatically when you log in to LastPass via the web browser extension and\/or online web vault (i.e., the LastPass website), and is\u00a0not something you can write down<\/u>.<\/p>\n
