At the bottom of the page, select &#8220;Student Create Account with Group Key. &#8220;Using the Group Key code your teacher assigned to you, fill out the information on the next screen to create your account.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"1:1-1:83\">There are a few different ways to log in to StudySync, depending on your situation:<\/p>\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:20\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>1. General Login<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"5:1-8:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:37\">Visit the StudySync website or app.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"6:1-6:64\">Look for the login area and enter your username and password.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-8:0\">If you&#8217;ve forgotten your login credentials, there should be an option to recover them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:21\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>2. Through Google<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"11:1-14:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:80\">Some schools or districts may have StudySync integrated with Google accounts.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"12:1-12:73\">In this case, you may be able to log in using your Google credentials.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"13:1-14:0\">Look for a &#8220;Sign in with Google&#8221; button on the StudySync login page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"15:1-15:28\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>3. McGraw-Hill ConnectEd<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"17:1-19:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"17:1-17:56\">StudySync is part of McGraw-Hill&#8217;s ConnectEd platform.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"18:1-19:0\">If your school uses ConnectEd, you may need to log in there first and then access StudySync from within that platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-sourcepos=\"20:1-20:35\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>4. Visit: app.studysync.com.<\/p>\n<p>2. At the bottom of the page, select &#8220;Student Create Account with Group Key.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>3. Using the Group Key code your teacher assigned to you, fill out the information on the next screen to create your account.<\/p>\n<p>Create a username and password you can easily memorize. Email addresses or \u201clast name + student number\u201d are good ideas for usernames.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\">YOUR STUDYSYNC ACCOUNT:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>1. Once you create your student account, you will be able to login to app.studysync.com using your username and password. You can easily join additional groups when your teachers give you the Group Key. Just click on the drop-down menu under your name and select \u201cJoin Group.\u201d Enter in the Group Key, and you will start receiving assignments for that Group.<\/p>\n<p>2. When you login to your StudySync account, you will be on your Home page.<\/p>\n<p>3. Clicking on the Assignments tab will take you to your Assignment Carousel. These are the Assignments you need to complete.<\/p>\n<p>4. Click on an assignment to get started. Many assignments will have additional video and audio support to help you understand the text and assignment.<\/p>\n<p>5. After you watch the Preview (if one is available), click on \u201cRead the Text.\u201d This is where you will read and annotate an excerpt from the book.<\/p>\n<p>6. The SyncTV episode is an example discussion between students about the text and prompt. If your assignment includes a SyncTV episode, be sure to watch it to get an idea of how to respond to the prompt your teacher has assigned. This discussion will also help you learn how to think more deeply about a text and to refer back to it in order to support your ideas.<\/p>\n<p>7. The Think section of an assignment includes three short answer or multiple-choice questions. There is a corresponding video clip from the SyncTV episode to help you think about the question and form your answers.<\/p>\n<p>8. The Write part of your assignment is where you will respond to the prompt your teacher has assigned. You can view the Grading Rubric and save your Draft before submitting your response. Once you submit your response, your teacher and your peers will be able to read your response.<\/p>\n<p>9. Once you complete an assignment, you can review your peers\u2019 responses (anonymously!). Head over to your Review tab to get started.<\/p>\n<p>10. Click on the assignment to reread the prompt and text, and to read your peer\u2019s response. This is anonymous for students, so you don\u2019t need to worry about others knowing which response is yours. However, your teacher has access to this information.<\/p>\n<p>11. After you read your peer\u2019s response, you will Review it using the rubric your teacher has assigned. Give specific feedback on your peer\u2019s response in the text box. Rate the response using the rubric assigned by your teacher. A box will pop up explaining each point value when you scroll over the point boxes with your cursor. studysync.com Page 8 Getting Started Student Guide<\/p>\n<p>12. All of your completed assignments and reviews are held in your Binder. Go here to see the reviews you receive from your teacher and your peers for an assignment.<\/p>\n<p>13. Your Blast tab is where you will go to complete weekly Blast assignments, which are short reading, research, and writing assignments based on topics of interest and current events.<\/p>\n<p>14. You will be prompted to complete any Live, or current Blast assignments.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 First, read the Blast title and Response question. This is the question you will be answering in a tweetlength response (140 characters or less).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Read the Background information to learn more about the topic<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Go further \u2013 follow the Research Links to learn even more<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Complete the Blast Response and the Quick Poll<\/p>\n<p>15. Once you complete a Blast assignment, you will be able to review and rate your peers\u2019 Blast responses. You will also be able to see the ratings your response receives, as well as the top rated Blast responses. Check back often to see the top responses and Quick Poll results!<\/p>\n<p>16. Your last tab is your Library. Your Library includes all of the texts in StudySync. You can search the Library using the search box or search filters.
