Some prepaid and debit card programs carry monthly membership fees or carry a charge for reloading funds to the card.<\/p>\n<p>A secured card is a real credit card that extends credit based on a security deposit provided by the cardholder rather than relying on the applicant\u2019s credit history. Aside from the security deposit requirement, a secured card works just like any major (Visa<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, Mastercard or American Express<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>) bankcard. The cardholder can revolve a balance by paying only the minimum monthly payment, or avoid finance charges by paying the balance in full each month. Your initially available credit will be your initial Credit Limit, less the initial Annual Fee of $39* imposed after your Account is opened. For example, if your initial Credit Limit is $200, your initially available credit would be $161.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The renewal Annual Fee, when imposed annually thereafter, will also reduce your then available credit by $39*.<\/strong>\u00a0Your initially available credit will be your initial Credit Limit, less the initial Annual Fee of $49* imposed after your Account is opened.
