Ways to Activate Your Getting Started Kit Devices – Xfinity<\/span><\/h2>\n

All Getting Started Kits include installation and activation information. You can find this in your Xfinity folder.<\/p>\n

Activate Your Equipment Using an App<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re activating Xfinity xFi Pods or an\u00a0Xfinity xFi Gateway<\/a>\u00a0(with the exception of the xFi Fiber Gateway, Arris X5001), you can use the Xfinity app for easy activation. After setup, you can use the Xfinity app for management of your home network. To determine the type of Gateway you have, check the make and model information located on the bottom of your device. You can also sign in to My Account and select\u00a0Devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

  1. Download the Xfinity app for free from\u00a0Google Play<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0App Store<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Sign in using your Xfinity ID and password. If you don\u2019t have one, you can create one from the sign-in page.\n

    • Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you\u2019re activating a Gateway, you might be prompted to start the activation as soon as you sign-in. If you aren\u2019t prompted, proceed to step 3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Once you’re signed in, select the\u00a0Account<\/strong>\u00a0icon from the top-left corner of the\u00a0Overview<\/strong>\u00a0tab on the Xfinity app.<\/li>\n
    • Select\u00a0Activate xFi Gateway or Modem<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a0Devices<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/li>\n
    • If you\u2019re activating xFi Pods, select\u00a0Activate xFi Pods<\/strong>\u00a0under the\u00a0Devices<\/strong>\u00a0section.
      \nNote<\/strong>: You can also begin the activation of a Flex TV Streaming Box using the Xfinity app .<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
