Activate your Global Entry card by logging into your TTP account within 30 days of receipt or you will be unable to use your Global Entry card at the Trusted Traveler lanes.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

To activate your\u00a0Global Entry card, follow these steps:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

1. Go to the Trusted Traveler Program (TTP) website at https:\/\/goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. Click on the \u201cActivate Membership Card<\/span>\u201d<\/strong> option<\/p>\n

3. Enter your PASSID<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0numeric portion of the Security Code<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>(found on the back of your card)<\/p>\n

4. Click \u201cNext<\/span>\u201d<\/strong> to complete the activation process<\/p>\n

Remember, your Global Entry card allows expedited entry at\u00a0land and sea ports of entry<\/strong>\u00a0within the United States. It\u2019s a convenient way to streamline your travel experience!<\/p>\n

Only U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents and Mexican nationals are issued Global Entry cards. CBP accepts Global Entry cards for lawful U.S. entry at land and sea ports of entry.<\/p>\n

Global Entry cards have radio frequency identification, which enables their use at SENTRI and NEXUS expedited travel lanes entering the U.S. Global Entry cards are not valid for entry into Canada via the NEXUS lanes and kiosks. Global Entry cards are not accepted at Global Entry kiosks, which require passports or U.S. lawful permanent resident cards.<\/p>\n

Global Entry card holders must follow all program rules for SENTRI and NEXUS when using this card at land and sea ports of entry.<\/p>\n

How do I get a Global Entry card for use with SENTRI or NEXUS travel lanes?<\/span><\/h2>\n

CBP began issuing Global Entry radio frequency identification (RFID) cards on July 12, 2011, to new Global Entry members who are U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents or Mexican nationals (who do not already have a SENTRI card) at no additional cost<\/p>\n

When will I receive my Global Entry card?<\/span><\/h2>\n

New enrollees will receive their Global Entry card 7-10 business days after approval for Global Entry<\/p>\n

If you have a U.S. address, the card will be mailed there. If you do not have a U.S. address, it will be sent to your designated U.S. point of contact or to a Global Entry enrollment center that you designate<\/p>\n

How do I activate my Global Entry card prior to use at NEXUS\/SENTRI lanes?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Activate your card within 30 days of receipt or you will be unable to use your card at the Trusted Traveler lanes.<\/p>\n

To activate your card, log into your TTP account.<\/p>\n

After you sign in, click on the Activate Membership Card button under the Program Membership(s) section on the Homepage.<\/p>\n

You can request a replacement card by logging into your TTP account and selecting Manage Membership. Next select Request for Global Entry Card. A $25 fee is charged for the replacement card. By requesting the replacement card, the original card will be deactivated and no longer functional<\/p>\n

Using Your Global Entry Card<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Global Entry cards are accepted for lawful U.S. entry at land and sea ports of entry<\/p>\n

Global Entry cards have radio frequency identification chips, which enable their use at Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI) and NEXUS travel lanes when entering the United States at the land borders. You must follow all program rules for SENTRI when using this card at the Southern land border ports of entry<\/p>\n

You may use this card for expedited entry into the United States via the SENTRI and NEXUS lanes. The card is not valid for entry into Canada via the NEXUS lanes.<\/p>\n

Only your passport or lawful permanent resident card are accepted at Global Entry kiosks. The Global Entry card cannot be used at Global Entry kiosks. NEXUS cards are accepted at Global Entry kiosks located on Canadian Preclearance Airports.<\/p>\n
