The TV USB port doesn&#8217;t provide enough power.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some Roku<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0streaming players and the Roku<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Streaming Stick<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0can be powered by connecting to the USB port of the TV (\u201cUSB-powered\u201d). However, in some cases the USB power provided by the TV is not sufficient to power the device. Even though your Roku device may appear to be working, running with insufficient power can lead to instability, crashing, and other unpredictable behavior.<\/p>\n<p>Roku players may indicate low-power in two different ways.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"section-0\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Red light is flashing<\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"article-section section-block-0\">\n<p>Most Roku players have a light on the front of the unit. Under normal operation this light is either off or white, and may flash when you press buttons on your remote control. Connecting your Roku player or Roku Streaming Stick to a different USB port on your TV may resolve the issue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connect power to power-outlet<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Using the included power cord and power adapter*, connect the Roku player or Roku Streaming Stick to a working power outlet in the wall.<\/li>\n<li>Connecting to a power outlet in the wall has the additional advantage that your Roku player will not need to power-up every time you turn on your TV.
