Activate Device | The Weather Channel Television Network: weathergroup.com\/activate-device<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Weather Channel app is free, but you must have a subscription to a cable or satellite provider to access the app after the 10 minute trial. \u00a0So, as a user you can download the app and use the app for 10 minutes. After the 10 minute free trial period, you will be asked to login with your cable provider login. If you do not have a login, you will not be able to access the application.<\/p>\n

There are two ways you can watch severe weather updates after the 10-minute trial:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Login: If you have a cable or satellite login you can authenticate\/login to the app and continue watching<\/li>\n
  2. Special coverage: In some cases The Weather Channel may allow access to the application without login. However, there are restrictions that prevent The Weather Channel from being able to do this except during severe weather.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How do I Activate The Weather Channel on an OTT device?<\/span><\/h2>\n
    In order to watch The Weather Channel via Roku, Fire TV, Android TV or Samsung app\u00a0you must have a cable, satellite,or vMVPD subscription<\/strong>.<\/span><\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    At this point, most cable and satellite providers are supported. If you do not see your cable provider logo on the authentication screen, then you can search within the search box below the other provider logos.<\/span><\/div>\n

    Steps to Follow<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

    Go to the following page to look for your provider:\u00a0<\/span>http:\/\/weathergroup.com\/activate-device<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Once you find you Cable or satellite system, use the following steps to connect:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    1. Once the app is installed, open the app and click the Sign In button in the app.<\/p>\n

    2. The app will provide you with an activation code and instruct you to visit http:\/\/weathergroup.com\/activate-device<\/p>\n

    3. On a computer or mobile device, visit the activate page and enter that activation code<\/p>\n

    4. The OTT app will then refresh, and you will be able to watch the video content<\/p>\n

    The Weather Channel is currently adding Weather Channel TV shows to the OTT apps on Android TV, Roku and Fire TV. As of January 2021, the shows are available on the Android TV application. In the first half of 2021, we will add the same shows to the Fire TV and Roku apps.<\/p>\n

    The Weather Channel broadcast group does not control the mobile apps or Web weather.com Web site. So, shows will not appear on those platforms.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    How to Watch Weather Channel on Roku<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Watching Weather Channel on Roku<\/strong> is quite simple. Read and follow the below-given instructions carefully.<\/p>\n

    1. \n

      To start with, check whether you have firm internet connectivity.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Then perform the hardware setup of your Roku streaming player<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Check whether the cables you use are in good condition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      On completion of the setup, connect your Roku to the internet.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      Refer and follow the on-screen instructions carefully.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      After connecting activate your Roku by linking your Roku device and your account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Next go to the Roku home screen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Now, in the Roku channel store, search for the Weather Channel channel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      After the download is over, visit \u201cMy Channels\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      You will find the Weather Channel\u00a0channel on the bottom<\/strong> of the channel list.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Click the channel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Create an account for the channel and install the channel.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
