Connect your tracker to the platform<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Charge your tracker:<\/strong>\u00a0Ensure your tracking device is fully charged. The device typically takes 4-6 hours to charge.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reboot your tracker:<\/strong>\u00a0To power down, hold down the small power button on the top of the unit for 10-15 seconds, then release. Repeat this step to turn the unit back on.\u00a0<em>Please Note: the unit\u00a0cannot be plugged in to the charger while performing this step).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Test your tracker:<\/strong> Walk or drive around outside for 5 to 10 minutes with your tracker. The lights will indicate the connection of the tracker.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Check your signal:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/app.spytec.com\/account\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Log in to your account<\/a>\u00a0to see if you&#8217;re getting a signal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h2 id=\"h_01EY3NHGYA7S4CRKMMV14P2A82\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>3. Place your tracker<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Trackers are commonly placed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Inside a vehicle:<\/strong>\u00a0Ideal placements are under the passenger or driver seat with the lights facing up. We don&#8217;t recommend placing the tracker in the trunk of a vehicle or the glove compartment. Create a boundary<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Boundaries allow you to keep track of your device if it enters or exits a certain location.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\"><strong>Customize a boundary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Name your boundary<\/li>\n<li class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Choose the shape<\/li>\n<li class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Size the boundary over the area you wish to serve as the center point of the boundary.<\/li>\n<li class=\"wysiwyg-text-align-left\">Save and create more boundaries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We offer two types of boundaries to place on the map:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Round:\u00a0Used when looking to place a quick boundary over a general area.
