The Phone Link\u00a0experience starts on your Windows PC and the Phone Link\u00a0app. From your PC, you can connect to\u00a0select\u00a0Android and\u00a0Samsung\u00a0devices with the\u00a0Link to Windows\u00a0app that’s either preinstalled on your device or that you can download from the Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store.<\/p>\n

This link between your Android device and PC gives you instant access to everything you love. Read and reply to text messages with ease, view recent photos from your Android device, use your favorite mobile apps, make and receive calls, and manage your Android device\u2019s notifications right on your PC.<\/p>\n

The Phone Link\u00a0app requires the following to work:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • A PC running Windows 10 (with the\u00a0May 2019 Update or later) or Windows 11.<\/li>\n
  • An Android device runningAndroid 7.0 (Nougat) or later.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  • Your phone and your PC both need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    We recommend always having the latest version of Windows installed to make sure you get the best experience with the Phone Link\u00a0app.<\/p>\n

    Note:\u00a0<\/b>The Phone Link\u00a0app doesn’t currently support multiple Android profiles or work\/school accounts.<\/p>\n

    How to link your devices<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Make sure to have both your PC and Android device nearby, turned on, and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.<\/p>\n

    \n

    If you start from your PC:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. In the search box on the taskbar, type\u00a0Phone Link<\/b>,\u00a0and then select the\u00a0Phone Link\u00a0app from the results.<\/li>\n
    2. You may be asked to\u00a0sign in to your Microsoft account\u00a0if you haven’t already signed in with Windows.<\/li>\n
    3. Install or open the\u00a0Link to Windows\u00a0mobile app on your Android device. To do this, open a web browser on your Android device and then enter the link that’s displayed on your PC (www.aka.ms\/yourpc<\/b>).<\/li>\n
    4. Sign in to the mobile app with the same Microsoft account that you\u00a0signed in to on your PC.<\/li>\n
    5. Once you’ve signed in, go back to your PC, select the\u00a0I have the Link to Windows\u00a0<\/b>app ready<\/b>\u00a0check box., and then select\u00a0Pair with QR code<\/b>.\n

      Note:\u00a0<\/b>If you’d like to pair your device without using a QR code,\u00a0select\u00a0Pair manually<\/b>\u00a0on your PC instead. You’ll be prompted to enter a\u00a0code on your Android device.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    6. A popup window with a\u00a0QR code will appear on your PC screen.<\/li>\n
    7. In the mobile app on your Android device, select\u00a0Link your phone and PC<\/b>. When asked,\u00a0Is the QR code on your PC ready?<\/b>\u00a0select\u00a0Continue<\/b>.<\/li>\n
    8. You’ll be asked permission for the app to access your camera. After accepting, an in-app camera will open. Use this camera to scan the QR code\u00a0displayed on your PC.<\/li>\n
    9. After scanning the QR code, you may\u00a0be asked for additional Android\u00a0permissions. These permissions allow you to\u00a0access content from your phone on your PC.<\/li>\n
    10. Follow the prompts on your Android device and then select\u00a0Done<\/b>. Then\u00a0return to your PC to\u00a0explore the Phone Link\u00a0app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
