Once you\u2019ve been admitted to NAU as a Flagstaff freshman<\/h3>\n

Complete the checklist below to reserve your space in our freshman class.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Accept your offer and pay the enrollment deposit<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Paying your enrollment deposit secures your place in our next class and allows you to apply for housing and register for Orientation. Please allow for 1 business day for payment processing before applying for housing.<\/li>\n
  • Spring:\u00a0<\/b>The enrollment deposit is $250 and is refundable until\u00a0December 1<\/b>.<\/li>\n
  • Fall:\u00a0<\/b>The enrollment deposit is $250 and is refundable until\u00a0May<\/strong>\u00a01<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    2. Apply for Housing and Complete Priority Enrollment\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
      \n
    • Please allow for 1 business day for payment processing of your enrollment deposit before applying for housing. Room selection is based\u00a0on the dates you complete both\u00a0your housing application and\u00a0Priority Enrollment<\/li>\n
    • The housing application will open at the end of September. We encourage you to\u00a0apply for housing\u00a0as soon as you have paid your enrollment deposit, since housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/li>\n
    • Nearly 90 percent of first-year students live on campus, and for good reason. Living on campus isn\u2019t just convenient, it sets you up for success by putting you in the center of everything you need.<\/li>\n
    • Complete your academic profile in\u00a0Priority Enrollment. Participate in\u00a0new student advising\u00a0to finalize your schedule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
      \n

      3.\u00a0Orientation<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • If you have accepted your offer of admission, you will be able to register for an orientation experience. You can choose to come to an in-person orientation session or engage with NAU virtually throughout the summer. In-person orientation is not required, but strongly encouraged. We are excited for you to join the Lumberjack Family!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        4.\u00a0<\/strong>Apply for Financial Aid<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
        \n
          \n
        • Submit a\u00a0Free Application for Federal Student Aid\u00a0(FAFSA) as soon as possible after it becomes available\u00a0October 1.<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Renew it each year to qualify for many types of financial aid.<\/li>\n
        • The university\u2019s institution code is 001082. NAU\u2019s priority filing date for first-year students is\u00a0November 15.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
          \n

          5. Submit Transcripts\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n
            \n
          • Have final official transcripts sent from your high school.\n
              \n
            • Spring deadline:\u00a0January 5<\/strong>.<\/li>\n

                  7.\u00a0Verify Your Citizenship<\/span>
                  \n<\/b><\/h2>\n

                  A person who is not a citizen, a legal resident of the U.S., or who is without lawful immigration status is not entitled to classification as an in-state student<\/span> for tuition purposes. This law applies to all students attending Northern Arizona University.<\/p>\n

                  Students who fail to provide proof of eligibility will be charged out-of-state tuition and cannot receive tuition waivers, grants, scholarship assistance, financial aid, tuition assistance or any other type of financial assistance that is subsidized or paid in whole or in part with state monies.<\/em><\/p>\n

                  8.\u00a0Provide Immunization Documentation<\/span>
                  \n<\/b><\/h2>\n

                  Part of the Medical Services mission is to prevent disease and to keep you healthy. By prioritizing your health, you are more likely to enjoy a successful academic career here at Northern Arizona University. Vaccinations are a simple, safe, and effective way to prevent many diseases that could stop you from attending class or completing your assignments.<\/p>\n

                  Campus Health Services offers a wide variety of immunizations. All are available by appointment with our Immunization Coordinator. During flu season, we also offer pop-up flu shot clinics around campus where appointments are not necessary (see the link to Influenza above). Most insurance plans cover the cost of preventative immunizations.<\/p>\n
