As of Monday, October 4, your UTSA-issued my.utsa.edu gmail account has been rendered\u00a0read-only.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

At any time, you can\u00a0log in to gmail\u00a0<\/a>with your\u00a0abc123@my.utsa.edu\u00a0<\/a>and UTSA passphrase to re-read your emails and access your Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc).<\/p>\n

Once you have activated your new email account, you will be able to\u00a0migrate any data from Google to your new Office 365 account<\/a> or other cloud storage or personal device of your choice.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Step 1: Activate your new email account<\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. Visit the activation link:\u00a0utsa.edu\/emailactivate<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Sign in<\/strong>\u00a0with your myUTSA ID and passphrase.<\/li>\n
  3. Click<\/strong>\u00a0“Activate”<\/li>\n
  4. Notice your new email address\u00a0<\/strong>which is\u00a0listed on the “Success!” page<\/li>\n
  5. Wait just a few minutes<\/strong>\u00a0while everything is set up for you.\u00a0Grab a coffee!<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Done!<\/strong>\u00a0You can now sign in to\u00a0portal.office.com<\/a>\u00a0with your new email address and current UTSA passphrase.\u00a0Click the Mail (Outlook) icon on the left to open your mail.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step 2: Sign in to your new email account<\/span><\/i><\/h2>\n

    Now that your account has been activated, it’s time to\u00a0sign in<\/a>\u00a0and see what your new inbox looks like! We recommend using\u00a0a supported web browser<\/a>\u00a0to access your email, as opposed to a desktop application.
    \nTo sign in to your new inbox on the web:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Visit\u00a0portal.office.com
      \n<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Sign in with your new email address:\u00a0preferredfirstname.lastname@my.utsa.edu<\/a>\u00a0and UTSA passphrase.
      \nNote: your passphrase did not change with this email switch.
      \n<\/em><\/li>\n
    3. Click the Outlook icon on the left hand side of the page:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
