How do I set up and connect my Stream TV? Stream TV – Set up Device<\/span><\/h2>\n

The steps below apply to the original Stream TV, which can be identified by the Ethernet port on the back of the device.<\/p>\n

Before you start, confirm you have:<\/div>\n
    \n
  • a Wi-Fi internet connection.<\/li>\n
  • a Google\u2122<\/span>\u00a0(Gmail\u2122<\/span>)\u00a0account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    If you don’t already have a Google account or have trouble logging in, visit this\u00a0Google site\u00a0for help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Stream TV – Set Up Device<\/span><\/h2>\n

      \n
    • \n
        \n
      • Connect the HDMI cable from your Stream TV to your TV.<\/li>\n
      • Connect the power cord from your Stream TV to an electrical outlet.<\/li>\n
      • Turn on your TV.<\/li>\n
      • Set your TV to the correct HDMI input. Refer to the TV manufacturer for help verifying HDMI input.<\/li>\n
      • Pair your\u00a0Stream TV Voice Remote<\/a> . If your Stream TV Voice Remote is not available, the device must be set up using a wired connection<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Remote Control app<\/a>\u00a0.<\/li>\n
      • If prompted, select Begin to set up your remote to control the volume on your TV then follow the on-screen prompts. Utilize 5-way navigation pad on the remote to highlight and the center (OK) button to select. To skip, press the Back button\u00a0on the remote twice.<\/li>\n

        From the ‘ Quickly set up your TV with you Android phone?’ screen, do one of the following:<\/div>\n

        Skip, to setup manually<\/p>\n

        \n

        Tap\u00a0Continue<\/p>\n

        \n

        On your Android Phone, open the\u00a0pre-installed\u00a0app Google.<\/p>\n

      • \n
        \n

        Type or say, “Ok Google, set up my device”.<\/p>\n

        <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n
        \n

        Tap Stream TV on the list and verify the code displayed on your TV.<\/p>\n

        <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n
        \n

        Select the\u00a0Wi-Fi\u00a0Network your Android Phone is connected to.<\/p>\n

        <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
      • If prompted, from the ‘Copy to your new device?’ screen, select cancel or Copy\n
        <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n
        If prompted, Verify your identity (pin,\u00a0passwork, etc…).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n

        Select the\u00a0Google\u00a0account you wish to add.<\/p>\n

      • From the ‘Almost done!’ screen, select Close.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n
        From the ‘Select your Wi-Fi network’ screen, select the desired Wi-Fi network.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        Enter the Wi-Fi password and select then select the Enter icon \"Enter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        If necessary, wait for your Stream TV to install system updates. This takes a few minutes and your device will restart multiple times.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        If prompted, select OK from the ‘A remote control software update is available’ screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        Firmware update may take a few minutes. If prompted, select OK from the ‘Your remote control software is up to date’ screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

        From the ‘Sign in to your Verizon account’ screen, do one of the following: information then select<\/p>\n

        Sign in : If you select ‘Skip’, you can sign in to your Verizon account<\/a>\u00a0at a later time.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
