Nearpod is an interactive classroom tool to engage students by adding interactive activities to your lessons like polls, collaboration boards, and game-based quizzes. Students can interact and submit responses through any mobile device or laptop.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

To join a Nearpod lesson, video, or activity, students should follow these steps:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Open a web browser on your PC and navigate to\u00a0nearpod.com\/student<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Alternatively, you can launch the Nearpod app on your Android or iOS device.<\/li>\n
  3. Enter the\u00a0five-letter code<\/strong>\u00a0provided by your teacher. This code is essential for joining the session.<\/li>\n
  4. Once you\u2019ve entered the code, you\u2019ll be able to participate in interactive and engaging lessons on any device. Nearpod is a powerful platform for both teachers and students! \ud83d\ude80<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    CREATE YOUR OWN LESSON<\/span><\/h2>\n

    \u25cf Create a new lesson by clicking the blue create button and select lessons. You can either upload content that you already have, or you can create a new lesson right inside Nearpod.<\/p>\n

    \u25cf To add content, tap Add Slide. Some of the most popular options are:<\/p>\n

    • o Video: Choose from Nearpod\u2019s video library, YouTube, or upload your own. You can add activities at any point in videos by tapping +Add Activity.<\/li>\n
    • o Slide: Add text, video, images, or gifs to slides once created.<\/li>\n
    • o Web Content: Add a website to visit during your presentation.<\/li>\n
    • o Nearpod 3D: Add 3D models of places and people your students can interact with.<\/li>\n
    • o VR Field Trip: Add virtual destinations that bring your lessons to life. Trips can be viewed with or without VR Headsets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u25cf To add an interactive activity, tap Add Slide and select the Activities tab. Some Activities you can choose are:<\/p>\n

      • o Time to Climb: Interactive game you can either create the questions yourself or use a premade template for certain subjects.<\/li>\n
      • o Flipgrid: Insert a Flipgrid you have previously made into the presentation.<\/li>\n
      • o Draw It: Have students show their understanding by drawing their answer. You can create a question or add a premade template and edit it.<\/li>\n
      • o Collaborate Board: An interactive brainstorming tool where students can add sticky notes with text and images to a class bulletin board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
