Activate My Fios : Verizon Fios Self-Installation Guide<\/span><\/h2>\n

To activate MY Fios, sign into\u00a0My Verizon\u00a0or the\u00a0My Fios app to get your Fios up and running with the easy step-by-step instructions. Connect the coax cable from the coax port on your router to a coax outlet. (Required for Fios TV*)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

If you have current service with another provider, do not disconnect that service until you have established your new Verizon service and validated it is working. As a result of COVID-19, we are taking precautions to keep our employees and customers safe. So, if your self-installation is not successful and we need to send a technician, we require our technicians and any individuals dispatched to wear a protective facial covering at all times and maintain a minimum of 6 feet of separation during the set up or repair.<\/p>\n

Installing Verizon Fios<\/span><\/h2>\n

Self-Installation is a great way to set up your Fios Internet, TV and Phone service(s) when it’s convenient for you. Verizon can mail you the equipment or you can pick it up at one of our\u00a0Fios Locations.<\/b><\/p>\n

When you\u2019ve received your equipment, sign into\u00a0My Verizon<\/b>\u00a0or the\u00a0My Fios app<\/b>\u00a0to get your Fios up and running with the easy step-by-step instructions.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Fios Router<\/span><\/h2>\n

Step 1A: Make the connections<\/h3>\n

A. Connect the coax cable from the coax port on your router to a coax outlet. (Required for Fios TV*)<\/p>\n

B. Connect the Ethernet cable from your router\u2019s WAN port to an Ethernet outlet. (Required for speeds greater than 100 Mbps)<\/p>\n

C. Connect the power cord to your router then to an electrical outlet.<\/p>\n

D. Router will take up to 10 minutes to update completely. Move to the next step when the front light is solid white.<\/p>\n

Step 1B: Wired or Wi-Fi? Your choice.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Wired<\/h3>\n

A. Connect the Ethernet cable to any yellow LAN port on your router.<\/p>\n

B. Connect the other end to your computer.<\/p>\n

Wi-Fi<\/h3>\n

A. Get the Wi-Fi name and password o the label on your router.<\/p>\n

B. On your device, choose your Wi-Fi name when it appears.<\/p>\n

C. Enter the Wi-Fi password exactly as it appears on your router label.<\/p>\n

Wi-Fi Network<\/h3>\n

The Fios Router supports Self-Organizing Network (SON) and allows your devices to move seamlessly between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi signals, connecting devices to the closest access point, and optimizing your Wi-Fi connection.<\/p>\n

Step 1C: Complete activation<\/span><\/h2>\n

Activate your service by opening a web browser on your computer and following the prompts.<\/p>\n

Note: If you ordered a Fios Extender, set it up now using the instructions in the box.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Fios TV One<\/span><\/h1>\n

Step 2A: Make the connections<\/span><\/h3>\n

A. Connect the coax cable from the Fios TV One to a coax outlet.<\/p>\n

B. Connect the HDMI cable* from the Fios TV One to your TV.<\/p>\n

C. Connect the power cord from the Fios TV One to an electrical outlet.<\/p>\n

Step 2B: Complete activation and remote setup <\/span><\/h3>\n

Turn on your television and Fios TV One. Using the Fios TV Voice Remote, follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation and remote setup.<\/p>\n

Note: If you have any issues with the Fios TV Voice Remote functioning properly after setup is complete, you may need to pair it manually by going to Menu > Settings > Voice Control > Fios Voice Remote > Program Voice Remote > Manual Setup and following the prompts.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Fios TV One Mini<\/span><\/h2>\n

Step 3A : Make the connections<\/span><\/h3>\n

A. Connect to Fios TV via a Wired or a Wi-Fi connection<\/p>\n

Wired:<\/strong> Connect the coax cable from your Fios TV One Mini to a coax outlet.<\/p>\n

Wi-Fi:<\/strong> Do NOT connect the coax cable; your Fios Wi-Fi will sync automatically.<\/p>\n

B. Connect the HDMI cable* from your Fios TV One Mini to your TV.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> If your TV is not HDMI compatible, use composite cables and the provided adapter.<\/p>\n

C. Connect the power cord from your Fios TV One Mini to an electrical outlet.<\/p>\n

Step 3B: Complete activation and remote setup <\/span><\/h3>\n

Turn on your television and Fios TV One Mini. Using the Fios TV Voice Remote, follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation and remote setup.<\/p>\n

A. Connect the coax cable from the Digital Adapter to a coax outlet.<\/p>\n

B. Connect the coax cable from the Digital Adapter to your TV.<\/p>\n

C. Connect the power cord from the Digital Adapter to an electrical outlet.<\/p>\n

Complete activation<\/h3>\n

D. Turn the Digital Adapter on using the Fios TV remote; then turn on your TV using the remote control that came with your TV and tune to channel 3.<\/p>\n
