In short, our experiment data showed a reduction in dislike attacking behavior\u00a0<i>1<\/i>. We\u2019ve also heard directly from smaller creators, and those just getting started with their YouTube channel, that they are unfairly targeted by dislike attacks. This change is gradually rolling out starting today.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/support-forums-api\/attachment\/thread-134791097-6724469404967610614.png\" width=\"564\" height=\"564\" \/><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><b>Here\u2019s what to expect based on how you use YouTube:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Creators: You\u2019ll still be able to find your exact dislike counts in YouTube Studio for each video\u2013only if you\u2019d like to.\u00a0<\/b>Creators will still be able to find their exact dislike counts in YouTube Studio if they would like to understand how their content is performing.<\/li>\n<li><b>Viewers:<\/b>\u00a0<b>You can still dislike videos to further personalize and tune your\u00a0<\/b><b><u>recommendations<\/u><\/b><b>, the only change is you won\u2019t be able to view the number of dislikes on the video.<\/b>\u00a0We understand that some of you have used dislikes to help decide whether or not to watch a video\u2013still, we believe this is the right thing to do for our platform, and to help create an inclusive and respectful environment where creators have the opportunity to succeed and feel safe to express themselves.<\/li>\n<li><b>Developers: If you\u2019re using the YouTube API for dislikes, you will no longer have access to public dislike data beginning on<\/b><b>\u00a0December 13th.\u00a0<\/b>Your end users will still be able to view dislike data related to their own content on authenticated API requests.
