News, Quote<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, owns and operates Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurants. As of October 21, 2021, it owned and operated approximately 2,900 restaurants in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Newport Beach, California.<\/p>\n<p>It is heartening to see Chipotle maintain its impressive financial standing in the eyes of investors. There were $1.4 billion in the company&#8217;s balance sheet as of Dec. 31, compared to a previous quarter of $1.2 billion. A $500 million credit facility was available to the company, which said it had no debt.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2020, inventory has increased from $26.4M to $32.8M, an increase of 28%. This figure was 0.3 percent of total assets at the end of the fourth quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The company spent $168.9 million, or about $1750 per share, in the fourth quarter on stock repurchases. The company&#8217;s board of directors has authorised an additional $200 million in share repurchases, excluding commissions.
