You can link your\u00a0mobile device to your\u00a0Smart TV or streaming device\u00a0using a code. After linking your device, you can watch YouTube on your TV when you\u2019re not connected to Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

    How to use your phone or tablet to activate YouTube on TV with a TV code<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

    Find the code<\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Open the YouTube app on your Smart TV or streaming device.<\/li>\n
    2. Go to Settings\u00a0\"\".<\/li>\n
    3. Scroll to\u00a0Link with TV code<\/strong>. A blue TV code will show on your TV.<\/li>\n
    4. Have your phone or tablet ready and continue with the steps in the “Enter the code” section below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The TV code should be made of numbers. If the code is made of letters, repeat the steps above to get a numeric code.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Enter the code<\/span><\/h2>\n

      1. On your phone or tablet, open the YouTube app.<\/li>\n
      2. Tap your profile picture\u00a0\"\"\u00a0and select\u00a0Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. Tap\u00a0Watch on TV<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      4. Tap\u00a0Enter TV Code<\/strong>\u00a0and enter the blue TV code shown on your TV.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Remove devices linked with a\u00a0code<\/span><\/h2>\n

        You can remove any linked devices by following the steps below. Remember, once a device is removed, you\u2019ll need to use a new code if you ever want to link the device again.<\/p>\n

        Unlink using your Smart TV or streaming device<\/h3>\n
          \n
        1. On your Smart TV or streaming device, open the YouTube app.<\/li>\n
        2. Go to Settings\u00a0\"\".<\/li>\n
        3. Select\u00a0Linked devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        4. Select\u00a0Unlink all devices<\/strong>\u00a0to unlink all devices at once.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Unlink using\u00a0your phone or tablet<\/h3>\n

          1. On your phone or tablet, open\u00a0the YouTube app.<\/li>\n
          2. Select your profile picture\u00a0\"\".<\/li>\n
          3. Tap\u00a0Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          4. Select\u00a0Watch on TV<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. Select\u00a0Delete Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          6. Tap\u00a0DELETE<\/strong>\u00a0to remove the linked Smart TV or streaming device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Amazon Fire TV<\/span><\/h1>\n

            You can watch YouTube and use Amazon Alexa to control the YouTube app on most Amazon Fire TV devices. You can download the official YouTube app from the Amazon app store.<\/p>\n

            Sign in to YouTube on your Amazon Fire TV<\/span><\/h2>\n

            Step 1: Find the activation code and sign in<\/h3>\n
              \n
            1. Go to the Sign in screen in the YouTube app and stay on this screen until you’ve completed the remaining steps.<\/li>\n
            2. Visit\u00a0youtube.com\/tv\/activate\u00a0on your computer or mobile device.<\/li>\n
            3. Sign in when you’re asked to. If you have a few Google Accounts, select the account you use with YouTube. If you’re already signed in, skip to the steps below.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Step 2: Complete the activation process<\/h3>\n

              1. Enter the activation code shown in the YouTube app on your TV.<\/li>\n
              2. Select \u201cAllow access\u201d and wait for the confirmation screen in the app.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Step 3: Select your account<\/h3>\n
